Not convinced my 5 years is realistic, as the more i play with figures, 5.5 years is far more realistic. Gutted but will still shoot for the stars!
moved my £17 eabay money into my morgage pot.
Never really thought about NSD before but clearly need to do something, so yesterday was a NSD (apart from £2 breakfast club for DD so could get to work earlier - does that count?). Have no reason to spend today (not that it will stop me!)Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!

NSD yesterday. plus got that all important assignment done and submitted. On the downside, only 1 week before next module starts (but marks the last year - yippee) but that leaves me 2 days off to clean (gets left to bare minimum when head in books) and get stuff on ebay (zero insertion weekend) already made a list, just need pics and tape measure but now on 2 long days so will probably be sundays job.
Crawling towards end of month payday, OH used to be paid mid month but his is end of month too, so this is still a relatively new painful experience.Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!

I think a NSD is what you make it. The world of money these days (direct debits, standing orders, daily interest calculation, bills for kids etc.) is so complex that it's very hard to spend *absolutely* nothing.
In my mind you can have a NSD if a spend is unavoidable and for something serious0 -
Hi HelenDaveKids
I have just read through your diary and already picked up loads of hints and tips (I've just started a diary myself and already find that I have become so much more focussed).
Thank you - great reading!

Thanks nattypants. Must admit serious addiction to diaries, reading yours too!
feeling virtuous, drinking free u switch wine, after working 12 and a half hours and put a pile of stuff on ebay (free listing weekend) whilst sipping said wine and apart from a small cash donation to 2 staff leaving, have had a NSD. (couldnt not give to collection as felt tipping into miser part of spectrum which i already border)
Tomoz need to asda and clean and if I can crawl out of bed before 9 (haven't had a lie in for over 2 weeks as worked every weekend) will go to zumba (have annual gym membership) the sad thing is, despite desperate for lie in at 5am this morning, can guarantee absolutely my body wont allow tomorrow!Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... That's so true - I buy a coffee every time I have a train journey (outward journey only). Maybe 3-4 times a month (and 1 out of 5 is free with loyalty card). I'm sure I enjoy it more than the folks who buy one every day from the shop opposite the office, because it's a treat (for getting to the station early enough
).

5.5 years is still a lot less than your friend though....... it's all relative and chucking every couple of pounds at it will really make a difference.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Thanks Gallygirl. Have lots of evenings planned to get rid of garage / loft contents on ebay, like you say, every bit counts. OH starting to get with it, left him a list of stuff to photo & measure yesterday so all I needed to do was list, he even added a few bits with ideas for more.
Went shopping, kids and OH came. They "earn" money each week by doing chores, as I figure that now I'm working full time as well as supposed to committ 10 hours a week to studying, and all the other stuff (taxi to youth club, music and swimming lessons, etc) that we all have to pull our weight. So each child gets a list - say hoover everywhere, empty bedroom / bathroom bins, tidy lounge and for this they get a £5 in what I call the stars book. We all do chores and within 2-3 hours everywhere is clean and we have all worked as a team. So when we are out, and they REALLY NEED that top, they can buy it, using the Star money. So today, they spent (between them) £85 in matalan on clothes, had a voucher £15 off for £75 spend, so let them have a £5 each off as I didn't actually spend any of my money and felt a bit mean not to! So although not very MSE, they did use their own money, and that really focuses them when choosing what to buy. Oldest also pick up some shoes in asda for £3. (fraid I've rubbed off on the kids):money:
OH wandered off and bought quite a lot of bulbs for garden, in EVERY shop we went too.:o Suppose it'll keep him busy!
popped onto ebay, only 1 watcher!Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!

Just spent afternoon in garage finding more stuff to ebay. Now have 34 items listed with 5 watching already. Some stuff is real old tools and hard to work out what to start at as OH convinced its worth quite a bit so started with some high starting price as figure can always relist next free weekend for less. He thinks he'll get the money to pay for a new roof for his shed:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!

Thanks Edinburgher, glad youve said that, as Ive managed to justify breakfast club as a way to get me to work less stressed and leave a little earlier. Plus with oldest Children leaving so early to walk to school, we are ready as well.
Gallygirl - think your signatures are great and made me smile as so true!
Just checked ebay again (yes I know, how sad am i!) have a bid on an item I had relisted.Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!
