Have you identified what made you put the weight back on before? Apart from the obvious thermodynamics?

Pre house move, eating well, exercising a lot, alone and as a family - running with Dave, family bike rides / walks most weekends. Was down to size 10 bottom, 8 top. Was physically fit and using gym if had a bad day as a need to go now feeling.

New house, terrible state and we were renovating / extending, and had no kitchen from April till November (not even the physical building). So meals became very processed, plus getting home from work and then "working" on house till 10/11pm most nights, rewarding self with treats, added very stressful times at work, studying for my masters (and feeling guilty if spare time not spent on it) and having stopped going to gym as no time (literally) so think wine slipped in after hard day. So even when finished, I think we had slipped into a lot of bad habits. Fast forward another 2 years and now really naughty, back into gym but 3x a week and not really working as hard as could do. Slowly pounds have come on and then suddenly im in a pair of size 20 trousers, photos are awful, my back and knees hurt and clearly need action urgently.

I think this time has been easier as I love the food, love the gym / classes and its easier to do stuff as the girls are now 12,13,15, so I can nip out for an hour without any concerns about leaving them. Plus I know when motivated I can lose the weight.

I'd second the suggestion that running is great for your core muscles. It's 6 weeks or so to my half marathon and I no longer have even a trace of belly, despite a complete lack of situps or other exercises designed to work those muscles :)

    Happy weekend HDK

We're eating almost all vegetarian food at the mo, but bacon remains a serious attraction :)

Have you ever made your own? You basically cure chunk of pork belly in sea salt and aromatics, you end up with lovely uneven slices and it goes very crispy.

Wowsers, 3 stone so quickly, what an inspiration you are! I had my very hilly mini-race at the weekend and my abs were really sore after so I reckon the terrain caused that.

Otherwise I much prefer doing sit ups and leg raises to planks, somehow you get a tiny bit of a relief. I even prefer press ups to planks for the distraction. I guess I really just hate being still!

Had at my parents ed, but I only warm things mostly at home, very envious of your culinary skills.

thanks greent, seems to have gone quickly, although a steady 2.2 average weekly loss, fortunately no sts or gains, will be here gutted when that inevitably happens.

I definitely not got the plank either FD, doing abs blast and then body pump tonight, so no doubt Will be doing later.

Me too for payday - except ours goes in around 10.30 the night before :T.

Counting bollards....... hmmmmmm...... unusual hobby but it takes all sorts :D.
