It sounds like the seller has changed their email address, i had this problem as a seller this week and I assumed when you change your email it would automatically update my live listings.....but no, that would make it far too easy wouldn't it Ebay!...

That is exactly what happened, seller assumed that by updating ebay, all payments would go to the new email address - but you do need to edit the email in the listings and future listings before eBay will remember it.

We agreed to cancel the listing as he was not sure how to send an invoice even after I gave him instructions. I told him when he relists the item, to make sure he changes the email in the payment information. He relisted, I purchased and made payment - the payment still went to the old email address. So I sent a message and explained again that he will need to edit the listing and edit the payment information. It has took until now to sort out but as they say, third time lucky!

Lots of technical probs on Ebay/paypal lately.

I use my ebay to see whos paid - and a buyer asked when i would be posting. Ebay showed it as unpaid - but it was in the paypal account.

A few days ago everyones feedback on ebay turned to zero in the early hours. I logged into items sold - and thought i'd been targeted by a zero feedback flash mob. :rotfl:

So I am not alone with having issues?

I am now beyond angry, I did have a bit of a whine to live help and accused them of being an automatic programme as they were not answering my questions. I fear I may have become sarcastic as the transcript does show me refusing to believe they were a human being as a human would at least be able to pretend to answer my question rather than go off at a tangent and answer something completely different.

I am almost resigned now, I just can't be bothed. Live help had absolutely no understanding at all and to just keep saying I need to phone my seller and explain was I thought very unhelpful as they are in china and I kept telling them that. Then to suggest I made payment via a different method when the auctions were PayPal only, and to keep insisting that many sellers are happy with a cheque, was just so stupid it barely rated a response.

I wonder how many strikes I can get before I lose my account , I have sent a direct payment for one (that still of course shows unpaid on eBay) but I could potentially get strikes from 6 unique sellers- and I suspect that is enough for me to see the end of my activity on eBay.

Unless I've missed something fundamental from my daily lurking on this forum, you're not going to get suspended for perceived misdemeanors as a BUYER!

We all know how easily we can get suspended as sellers, and you usually post with your seller's hat on, but I thought the worst that could happen as a naughty buyer was being blocked by other sellers for too many NPB strikes - no sanction from eBay themselves.

Also, as your sellers are Chinese, with their dislike of confrontation (typing this while my Chinese partner is not around to disagree with the back of her hand round my ear!) and love of 5* feedback, maybe you won't get a set of NPB strikes anyway.

I understand the frustration though of battling dodgy computer systems and then CS reps that are worse than the computers...

    ...

5 or 6 NPB strikes at a go may well have got me suspended. It certainly would have blocked me from being able to bid on most sellers auctions

However, I have paid again, I still have 'payments have not gone through ' emails for 3 of the items, but this time they all actually show as paid and the payment has gone from my paypal account.

The only issue I have now is the seller I paid direct has sent me another invoice saying he hasn't been paid, but he has, but it is just not linked to the ebay sale. If it comes to a showdown the item was a fraction less than £1 and I'll pay again through ebay and just write the first payment off as a loss.

Luckily these were all cheap craft type items I was buying in for a project I have in mind for the Christmas fairs- only the day ebfore I had bought 2 x £20 items and I am just pleased that those went through without a problem

Haven't tried anything for a week or two but even I've noticed the glitches this summer :( - and I very rarely have had problems in the past.

Glad to hear you got it sorted.
