I bought and paid for 11 things on ebay last night, this morning I have ebay messages for all of them saying:
Sorry, your recent PayPal payment did not go through. As a result, the item(s) below have not received payment.
Please return to eBay to resubmit your payment again.
Please complete payment for the items below:
My pet hate- paypal- who seem completely unable to operate a service that actually works. Just don't get me started on blasted paypal postage that rarely works.....

i don't know if this helps....but i paid for 4 items in one go on a sunday night 8 months ago. an error page came up. i received no email and ebay showed all the items as unpaid. But when i checked paypal all 4 payments had been made. I presumed because the items were showing as unpaid on my ebay that they would be showing as unpaid on the sellers side too. I was right. I contacted all 4 and asked them to check their paypal. all 4 had been paid. I contacted paypal and was told by one honest paypal employee that making payments to more than one seller on a sunday night can get a bit mixed up. Paypal tend to do most of their maintenence stuff on sunday nights. He sent an email to all 4 sellers to say payment had been made. He also advised that i don't make multipurchase payments on a sunday night. Your case sounded the same only you have tried to pay again. All I can suggest is that you pay one seller at a time. It could be there is a problem with payment going through to one of the sellers. Are you making a payment to a seller abroad...because then paypal would need to convert currency...maybe...has happened to me when i need to pay someone in dollars.0

I am slowly losing the will to live here.
I have tried paying from my other account and nothing works, I just can't pay even if i pay for each seperately.
It all goes through but when I then check there is nothing in my paypal account and item shows as unpaid.
This is the latest that live help has come up with
know how you feel about this. After reviewing your account with our technical team, it appears that your account is affected by an issue on the site. I've now forwarded your information to our technical team for review so that we can resolve it as soon as possible.
Let me also share a workaround that most buyers do while the issue is being fixed. You may try to request for a new invoice from the seller via PayPal and pay for it directly. This process is still safe and secure.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I have lost the will to live. Apparently there is a technical fault affecting some users and we can't pay unless we somehow get the sellers paypal id and pay direct.
I pointed out that the system usually blocks users from exchanging email addresses, and was told to use the word 'dot' instead of a dot to beat the system. So I now have 7 unique users to contact and somehow get them to send me an invoice that doesn't go through ebay- all sellers are overseas so this is going to be fun.....
Absolutely teed off with this- how rubbish does a service have to be to somehow disable people from paying for goods.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Yes I know I am talking to myself but arghhhhhhhhhh
One seller has told me if they have to raise an invoice it will cost me $8 and eBay are still saying that there is a glitch and I must pay by some other means (these are all PayPal only auctions) .
A few other people have reported issues, so it might be a good idea for people to check their 'won' items to make sure the payments they thought they have made have actually gone through
If I can't get this fixed and worse case scenario I get a handful of NPB s opened, I wonder if that will free up the system to allow me to pay, or whether I could, potentially lose my account over this. If I lose my buying account I also lose All the other accounts including my TRS one as well.
I intend trying again tomorrow and then phoning eBay and making a nuisance of myself and then maybe go punch a brick wallI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I don't know if I am having the same problem but I have just paid for an eBay item through Paypal and noticed it has the egg timer instead of the blue £ sign. I have logged into Paypal and the transaction is there but it states: unclaimed.
I remember years ago when I first signed up to Paypal, I had to accept/claim each paypal payment until I changed the settings somewhere so hopefully that is all it is. The seller is not new to eBay so don't understand why it is doing that so I have sent a message but still awaiting a response.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0 -

It sounds like the seller has changed their email address, i had this problem as a seller this week and I assumed when you change your email it would automatically update my live listings.....but no, that would make it far too easy wouldn't it Ebay!...Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D0 -
Well I gave it one last try for today and I still cannot pay.
I have also had 2 sellers say that they can't understand my mail but eBay require me to pay otherwise eBay will open cases against me and they tremble to think of the outcome for such an honoured buyer
I wonder how many strikes I can get before I lose my account , I have sent a direct payment for one (that still of course shows unpaid on eBay) but I could potentially get strikes from 6 unique sellers- and I suspect that is enough for me to see the end of my activity on eBay.
Have I overlooked anything here? obviously I will phone eBay tomorrow , but has anyone any suggestions . I can't pay via eBay, I don't have seller email addresses so I can't send payment direct from PayPal.
Any other ideas?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. You will have to ask the sellers to mark as payment received also, if they understand
also using the advanced button you can request the sellers contact details, hopefully that will give you the email but not sure....worth a try
Update, have just tried contact (as I needed to anyway) it doesn't but does give their phone number, ok if they are in the uk i supposeNever put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D0 -

The one I have managed to pay direct does not understand about marking payment received on eBay, but assures me that they are sending the goods and I will receive them in approx 35 days.
I have requested contact details for the other sellers and hopefully can deal with that tomorrow but as you say I don't think I get an email and a phone number is no good as they are all in China.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
