Vodaphone friends family discount

Vodaphone are cancelling my 20% friends family discount during the contract period due to an VP employee stating we are no longer friends - is this a variation in the contract so could I request a cancelation without incurring fees. Only 9 months into a 24 month contract ...happy to return phone to them as its not the best I have had....

I don't think that the discount was a part of the contract. If it was, it is worth checking the T&C of the discount itself.

That said, your former friend is a real swine.

Why is the former friend a real swine? There could have been a disagreement between the pair that resulted in this situation, of which is both none of our business or relevant.

Bottom line, the 'friend' can withdraw the offer whenever they like, that's the rules right?

I don't know the formal rules, but what the friend has done is IMO just a petty dirty trick to get back at the OP for something absolutely unrelated. The friend gained nothing from this except some pathetic 'satisfaction'.

    Hi RAZZLE,

I am afraid you are contracted for the price plan agreed when taking out the contract. The 20% discount is an added extra you can take advantage of if recommended by someone else.

As they are the person eligible for the discount, is it at their discretion who they offer it to.

Apologies that this was not the answer you were looking for.

    Kind regards,
