gym contract company contacted me yesterday to say I could cancel my contract with them due to me being out of work if I can prove to them thats the case, dont know whats changed from a month ago when I had the self same conversation with them and didnt budge an inch but I'm not going to refused the offer. So thats another 90£ each month saved.

letters offering nominal payments went out yesterday to all my creditors so I'm expecting to be contacted next week or even the week after with what they are willing to accept and how badly im being hit with charges fees and interest. ive had to make nominal payments to all of them this month and will have to do the same again for January, maybe even February (even if I start working on the 2nd Jan) I wont pick up a wage until 15th Feb which means that 3 of the CC payments will be late that month so will make nominal for that month on them then contact them when ive been paid to revise payments.

and the last 24 hours has proved to be somewhat 'expensive' or it will be when i pay for everything to be repaired - freezer has defrosted enough to merit me throwing away a full black bin bag of food (probably £30 or so worth that will need replacing) - im defrosting it totally at the moment and trying to work out if its 'fixable (fingers and everything else crossed) because I really dont want to have to find the extra needed to replace it!

Ex's pc is on the blink - he deals with all the email for the company which there are 'copious' amounts of. His Outlook wont stay open for longer than a minute meaning he cannot reply or even open emails successfully. His pc is under warranty till aug next year but he refuses to take it into pc world or contact the manufacturers for help - hes working his way thru all the 'fixes' and 'wizards' but 'none of them work properly'... fully expect the pc to be thrown at the wall the way he is going.... should be an interesting conversation when he finally loses his temper..

DS1 and DS2 had a good night out watching a friends band play at a gig, cost zero so thats the sort of entertainment that I approve of:). they are off to a house party for NYE and I'm playing billy no mates at home again and avoiding the ex.

Ive just applied for another 4 employed jobs just to back myself up incase the freelancing is late starting - stranger things have happened. I just want the world to go back to normal so i can start things moving again....

just done the company accounts and bought them up to date - by the time we've paid out all running costs next month (we are a month in advance as well) and monies owing we have less than 50 profit in the account. Then we have a payout due from the CC processor of 600 odd due mid month and then at least one maybe 2 payments again of the same size due last week in january. projected bank balance by end of january - £700 - £1300 - yes thats a huge variation but it all depends on payouts from the CC providers. Theres also another couple of hundred that can be 'liquidated' at very short notice from another payment provider if needs be. Also got to invoice one of the contracts we have for some development work thats another £350 due in - it will be going back out again to the software developers at the end of April but at least it gets to sit in our business bank account for a bit and not theirs!:) and the even better thing about all the planning and plotting re the business side of things is im not picking up any of its expenses from this month for the first time ever:T:T

ok good news so far today is freezer is not broken and does not need replacing (yet anyway) and ex has caved in and is onto the helpline for his PC to get it fixed with their techies. 0871 call so going to cost zillions that way but at least the company pays for it ;) and ive had to take over the 'fix' cos he cant speak to people on the fone and the sum total of 30 mins on the fone is take it into the pcworld branch it was purchased from and their tech guys will fix it (which is what I said to do days ago but hey what do i know eh?):o

me I feel like im almost over my 'flu' that ive been struggling with - I hate to say im ill and just carry on but I think my lot realised yesterday I was feeling totally yuck when I collapsed in the kitchen when cooking dinner... they finally asked do you need some help  (oh well my fault for living in a houseful of males I guess).

I've just had a helpful conversation with Capital One credit cards who have put all charges and interest on hold for 2 months on my account whilst I sort out what is going on - just wish the others were as helpful... that said only vanquis have been total gits so far so i guess im doing ok.

other plans for today are pay some rent at the PO then go to the gym and get that contract finished completely then do a food shop and fill up the freezer again - does the excitement ever end??:rotfl:

quiet night in for new year for me - zero spend so that was good and DS1 and DS2 found an impromtu house party to crash so they enjoyed themselves too. infact it must have been a good night they only just got home ;)

company that are using our software have been in touch regarding commissions and payouts so ive taken over all their admin as well now - they just cant work the system out at all so I end up putting it right all the time - so may as well do it right first time then im not backtracking on others mistakes all the time.

well i got rid of the telesales staff i had taken on freelance today after 3 hours after they started to download all my data so they could use it on their own projects (stealing my data which costs me good $$$) - they could not see a problem with what they were doing saying 'we will give you some results so why do you care how we do it' - I think im just too trusting to be in business and I cannot see how people can work like this. I just dont understand it myself being that 'shady'. I think im just a bit of a soft touch because everyoone seems to try and 'take advantage' - which does my head in that I have to think the worst of everyone all the time!

freelancing should start next week - still waiting for a straight yes or no answer but none is forthcoming so will wait till Monday then ask the company outright. Im also still waiting on my JSA to go into payment properly and HB and CTC to get sorted as well - at this rate im going to be going back to court about my suspended eviction hearing.... this is all getting so very boring! I also need JSA to be sorted as I am now down to my last 500 in the world. This needs to be sorted out asap now so I can actually sleep at nights. I managed 2 hours last night before getting up and going thru all the figures again for another 2 hours in the wee small hours till i fell asleep at my desk:o something has got to give!

roll on next week when the whole world goes back to normal at least i will know if i have freelance work definately starting or not.

applied for another 2 employed jobs this morning and filled in my diary sheet thingy for my meeting at the Jobcentre later. Will be interesting to hear when my claim goes into payment - I phoned the helpline this morning to ask for an update to be told that it hasnt even been actioned yet, so how long will it take for payments to be put in place - could be up to 4 weeks from now..... well me and DS1 and DS2 will be living on fresh air by then.... I must remember to not lose my temper when I speak to the adviser at the job centre later....

just been told that im not going to receive any jsa for at least another 4 weeks whilst i am investigated to prove that i am no longer self employed. and that I have a sanction being applied to my claim because my employed position 'came to an unexpected end' - basically im having 7quid a week taken off my jsa payment due to them getting rid of me - oh and im not technically unemployed either as i dont appear on the statistics anywhere,,,

you know you really just couldnt make this system up could you!

just opened up my pile of letters from the CC cos this morning and status so far is

Capital 1 cards - 1 and 2 both have been put onto reduced payment plan which has been accepted for a month and both have been issued with a default notice
MBNA - have closed my account and are passing it to a DCA (ok so i negotiate with them when I'm in a position to do so for a F&F)

cannot believe how quickly these companies are jumping - they havent even given my reduced rates of payment time to be accepted!

    • cook all meals from supplies
    • some promotion work for the business
