Ever thought about when you get paid putting some money aside to pay your credit card bill when it comes? Voila - no late charges.
Not every bill I have comes out on the day I get paid. It is called budgeting.0 -
Did they tell you that was the payment date when you opened it? They don't have to change it, you have to pay it on time. If the interest charges are so ludicruously steep, can you work to reduce your outgoings to a point where you are not dependent on it?
You cannot accept and use a form of credit in accordance with the terms agreed and then start getting sniffy because you want something else...Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

They're under no obligation to change the payment date to suit you. My payment dates all over the place. It's not a problem because I plan and budget.
It's very simple. They issue a monthly statement with a payment due date and you have to pay by that date. You have no grounds for complaint whatsoever.0 -
Kind of wished I hadnt posted now....0

I have a standing order to pay the minimum amount on my credit card which I then follow up with the rest when it's convenient to me. I pay a few pence interest but at least I know I won't be hit with any late charges.
OP could set something like this up, perhaps?"If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -

I get paid on the 25th, my main CC is due on the 15th (another is due on the 18th, and the third on the 5th). I just leave the money in the account to pay for it, since I know the amount that will be taken 20 days prior.0

Is a change of card provider possible?
I've had cards from Lloyds, Halifax, Barclays & HSBC and have never heard of the payment date being fixed. It's in the providers interest to ensure they get paid so they'll usually change the payment date for you.
Just to explain what happens; the statement is produced on a fixed date, the payment being taken/required a set number of days after this (minimum 10 days to comply with direct debit terms but usually 25days). Ideally you need to be asking to change that statement production date. I have never had any problems doing this with the providers above.
I do take on board what people say about budgeting but I just like everything to come out together so I know where I am with my finances rather than having to work out what's been paid, what's to pay etc etc.0
