O2 passing on my email address
hi,
when I register online with a company I do so with an email from a domain I own... for example registering on this site my email address was moneysavingexpert.com@***my_domain_name**.com
This is a way I can track if my email address has been passed on my anyone...
so I'm now getting a lot of spam emails to o2@***my_domain_name**.com, I checked under my details on the O2 website and I definitely don't have the checkbox ticked saying they can pass on my details...
I've contacted them and explained this, they filled out a form supposedly but I'm still getting near 20 emails a week sent to o2@
is there anything I can do..? ONLY O2 could have passed on this email address...

Go wild and raise a complaint about data protection to the Information Commissioners Office. http://www.ico.gov.uk/0

I do a similar thing. I would see if you can change your email address with o2 then bin the o2@ email address.
Once they have sold your address the companies who have it will likely keep using it whilst it remains active.0
