Excessive Electricity Bill

Powergen seem to be full of tricks in their favour. They tried to make me pay around 2 1/2 times the true cost of my gas usage by insisting I had an Imperial meter when it was a metric one. No amount of phone calls would convince them otherwise and they only accepted the fact AFTER I had moved to Scottish Power and involved Energy Watch. If I had just paid up I would have been £115 worse off for gas used between September 04 and January 05. I repeat what Flapper says, Powergen users BEWARE!0

I have eventually got my money back from poweergen. I went to my old address to pick up post and had a letter there saying I was £100 in credit. The account number was a different to my actual account and I remembered that they messed up when I ordered and opened two accounts. Both of these were receiving full payments from my account. I queried the double payment and they said they would close one and transfer the money on to the other. This clearly never happened and had I not gone back to get my post they would still have my money.
While I am happy that I got it back I would still NOT recommend using powergen.if i had known then what i know now0
