    Hi all.

BB I'm so sorry to hear that Maud is so poorly; sending loads of healing vibes, and Lucy sends a big lick.

Judi sorry to hear about your friend's daughter - how awful, specially as a result of doing something for charity.:( It does put things in perspective, doesn't it - my legs may be as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike, but they're still there, at least. Poor girl!
    Morning all

Hugs where needed - sorry I don't know enough about you all yet so can't comment individually - Who's Maud, I've a feeling she's a pet, hope I'm right and I'm not mistaking her for a child or relative, sorry if I've got it wrong x
*Pokes Helen in the ribs* You know me, mate.;) Maud is, indeed, a furbaby of the canine persuasion.

Lucy's had a lovely walk this morning - we went on the Redway (cycle path) as far a Bradville bridge, and she had a grand time investigating lots of interesting smells.:D

She's "helped" me tidy the kitchen cupboards a bit - putting the last little bit of washing power in the top of the new box, refilling the spud basket from the paper sack in the spare room, using up a silly little bit of cocoa in the bottom of a tub to make some chocolate ice-cream, style of thing.

She's spark out on the lounge carpet now!:rotfl:RosyRed if it makes you feel any better, I have black hairs all over the beige lounge carpet.:D

Just thought I would pop back in and say have managed to save £63 p/month switching from eon to Scottish power. They have fixed prices until dec 2013 so worked out much better for us. I think the deals coming to an end soon though so be quick.

    Hi everyone
Just back from the vets checking Skye post op, she is fine in herself, full of it in fact, but needs another week of anti-bifrollics. Good news is there is no extra charge! She is 23 weeks now how the time has flown. Next week we will get her per passport, as we are off again mid-October. DS & Fianc!e can't wait as they need to have Skye overnight, no room for us, but can put the dog up?;)
Sorry to hear about Maud, BBird, more vibes coming her way.
Elona hope they soon sort DD out. ((hugs))
Had a lovely weekend in the caravan at Beverley.
Had a few hours in the garden cutting back the buddleias.
Just watching the parade, so brilliant.:T:T well done all the athletes.

Tea tonight is either pork steak or chicken breasts, with something from the freezer or salad (need to shop) will go to town tomorrow.:o

:grouphug: to those needing one, take care all. DG

    Hello again!
Well the new job didn't work out :( the lady who left decided she wanted to come back! And as she can do more hours than me, is more experienced and the fact that I was still self-employed and not employed by the company... She gets the job! Ho hum.... Back to trying to get some work... Which redruby is making roman blinds! What is the problem? Make sure all your strings have been tied when it's level, undo the knots at the bottom, and let the blind hang all the way down, then carefully retie the knots, it often takes a few attempts to get it to hang perfectly. Let me know how you get on x

Ps: is it possible/would it taste right to do a courgette and apple chutney? We have a glut of apples and my hubby keeps coming home from work with ENORMOUS courgettes (!) that a work mate has a ton of, so just wondering if I can combine the two? Thanks x

Thanks for the advice, its just not 'sitting' right, the folds of fabric, are not crisp lines ? do you know what I mean, sorry probably a bad description :rotfl: to me it looks like a pile of rags at the window, will try your advice tomorrow, thank you xx

And I think any kind of chutney works, I make all sorts, good luck xx

Just had a look online at some make your own kits, they all seem to have a weighted bit in each flap if you see what I mean, mine hasn't could this be why ??

Elona - sending good wishes for a speedy recovery for your DD x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
