Hi,
I'm moving to Chessington in SW London and considering signing up for Virgin broadband, which is what the current residents of the house have. Does anyone know how I can find out the real-world speeds there (have tried contacting the current resident but they haven't replied.) Can Virgin tell me over the phone?

It's a cable area.
Virgin claim up to 30Mbps, but how can I check what I'd really get?0 -
you cannot,if virgin say 30Mbps then you should get that speed unless your in a over subscribed area,or after midnight like me to get full speed ,its still a post code lottery with virgin and theres not way off telling until you get it ,
you can try there forums but there not very good or other forums that deal with virgin users
but speed checker there are none ,
and you could have 60 and 100/120Mbps with them, for more moneythere or their, one day i might us the right one ,until then tuff0
