    Hi all

Not much in the way of flying today, apart from a load in the WM; but it's OK, I finished my lists on Wednesday.:D

I will be decluttering Lucy back to her own humans later today though.:(

Interesting posts re the large families; it's just the opposite with me; I have no siblings and no cousins, and never had children myself, so my branch of the family will die out when I pop my clogs.:o Also, I have reason to doubt that my father actually was my biological father, but have no way of finding out for certain. Not that I'd inquire too closely – if it turned out that he was, I'd be so disappointed, I prefer to cling to the hope that I don't actually have any of that foul man's DNA in me.

Bonnie a new fella, eh? Just enjoy yourself and see what transpires.;)

CY well done to the cricket team!:T

    Hellooooo

I think I must be Samson's opposite - I have my hair shorn and find hidden energy :) I knew things were looking up when I found myself laid in bed meal planning!!!

It's rained heavily here on and off, so I have three loads of washing draped on radiators and the airer. I've also cleared some floor in the kitchen AND in the living room - one small dot at a time but it all adds up.

Read a magazine that I'd unearthed - so that I could put it into the recycling box :rotfl: :A - while I ate my first ever watercress sandwich (recommended by a FB friend for iron content). I'm not one for eating leaves, but it was ok with some ready salted crisps shoved in for texture/taste. I even ate an orange to aid iron absorption :)

I'm planning on shifting more paper this afternoon and .... washing some pots :D so that I have clean pans, crockery and cutlery and can cook tea - out of the freezer and store cupboard (fish, chips & beans) - and not spend money on a take away :A

Who am I? And where's Roundtuit??? :rotfl:

    xx

Could it be the porridge that is causing some of the problem? - or more specifically the cow's milk that you put on it? It is a well-known fact that dairy products cause the human body to produce a lot of mucus. Oats also tend to make the mucus thicker. Could you try giving her something different to fill her up before bedtime - eg baby rice or sago made up with apple juice?

She only has it if she hasn't eaten much during the day and is no worse with it than without.

It is usually made with breastmilk sometimes with yoghurt. Other times she will have weetabix and still wakes.

    ty though.. and Bossy! xx
Last night's paper contains a pic of DS and OH's cricket team that won the league this year:-

OH is standing on the far left in the back row and DS is the second from the right in the front row!

I am one proud lady! Beams!

    And so you should be!!

  • Hi there

Just a quick visit from me this week. We've had friends over since Mon aft -who left this am and are now half-way back to their own home, and have just had a quick snack as we go off in around an hour for our holiday on the Norfolk Broads.

Since our guests left we have: had breakfast, shower, washed all towels, ironed stuff that was washed last night, put the cat in the cattery, done and delivered 3 bags of shopping for my sick friend and packed! OH has just hoovered and all we need to do now is finish our cuppa, pack the last things out of the fridge, quick mop of kitchen floor and go!!

Managed to change our bed last night so that is fresh to come back to. I planned this holiday to go after our visitors, as I thought the place would still be clean, but there was still a lot to do. (I like it clean to come back to - but we soon muck it up again!!).

So off I go, but send good wishes and vibes to all those feeling poorly and anyone who wants them. I'll catch up with the thread when I return, love R x

Having one of those days where if it can go wrong it is, but if it goes right then the time is flying by and I'm not getting as much done as I had hoped

Boiler man has been to do the service & the boiler has passed with no problems. Emails written and sent. Doctors appointment made for DD for Friday since its INSET (I'm going to get to the bottom of this "I'm dizzy" claim every time she's asked to do something  ). Just debating about dentist & optician appointments for the same day....:D That may be pushing it though, 11am docs means leaving here about 10am and walking. I am NOT paying out £2 bus fare to go 3 stops unless it is absolutely hammering it down.

I'm off to scrub out the kettle that DD boiled dry this morning. As her "reward" I'm going to make French Onion Soup for tea - she hates onions, and she hates soup :p Part of her grounding (the last straw was this morning, after 2 weeks of warnings for various things) is no choice in what we have for tea. I forsee this for the next weeks menu:
    Fri: French onion soup
    Sat: Fishermans pie
    Sun: cauliflower cheese
    Mon: Cottage Pie
    Tue: Bolognese
    Wed: Noodles
    Thur: Lasagne
    Fri: Stew

Subject to change of course depending on how evil I am feeling ;)

Need to write a small shopping list of basics for grocery shopping tomorrow. DD is packed lunch as of Monday so I need to buy stuff to do them up. No crisps or chocolate biscuits. She'll hate me ;)

    Right, where's that kettle?
