Thank you Dusty for this weeks thread, I will attempt to be in after the paid stuff but Ithink I will leave a list of tasks for DH who is still recovering but I am fairly sure he can start lifting a finger or 2! (just rereading that I dont mean he shouldnt be saluting!)

Did a big descale of the iron about 10 days ago so its in good order at the mo but like michelle
I have never washed my ironing board cover!! Am I the only one???
I dont think I have ever washed an ironing board cover, like others have said they have a tendancy to wear out first :o

Will copy the list later on the other pc so until tomorrow evening have a quiet night and a fun flying day

    Bye for now
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!
  • Michelle - you are sitting in luxury then! How decadent can one flylady be!

Valli, I like to give my knickers 10 mins in the TD then smooth them with my hands and they are soft as silk - there - that's all I'm saying and hope it sounds like an advertisers dream! (Reminds oneself to market that as a slogan and make a fortune!).

Thanks for the lists, Dusty, and I'm ahead if the game as our visitors arrive for 5 days tomorrow, and our bungalow is gleaming! I am so pleased, so thank you for the inspiration. Thank you to Julie for last weeks, too.

All shopping is done, meals planned, so we are hoping for at least some dry weather.

Bye for now, and I think I'll only be flitting in and out this week, so I hope you all have a good, and healthy week. R x

  • Evening ladies

Thankyou for the Birthday messages:). I've had a nice day today, Hubby did rather well this year :T, he got me a big bunch of flowers, a big bar of galaxy, a bottle of wine and a very pretty pair of white gold hoop earings to replace my broken ones. Feeling quite spoiled.

We were godparents at our friends christening this morning which was lovely. Couldn't get over how trendy church is now. Didn't know vicars wore jeans :rotfl:. It was quite a contrast to the moonlodge I was at on Saturday night

I've already meal planned before list came up, so chuffed I can tick something off already. :A

  • I am in again this week :) Thanks Dusty for the list, and thanks Julie for last weeks :T

I will try and do better this week. I started off well last week, especially with paperwork, then work took over. I have been out most of the day today. We managed to walk the dog, and do 2 loads of washing. 1 was hung out when we got back, but is now dry. the other is still in the machine :o Hopefully the weather will be ok tomorrow.
I only have the baby all day tomorrow, so hopefully i can get a little done when he sleeps. I also need to pick up a second hand buggy, as mine is giving up on me! I need to get a new double (not side by side) as the one I have is SO heavy!

Hugs, sticks and spoons to those that need them, esp Roundtuit. My sister had one of those calls when her iron level fell to about 5ish!! She had a blood transfusion, and the staff were surprised she was able to walk in there. She didn't even realise she felt ill until she felt better, IYSWIM. The body compensates when the iron gradually declines. I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for the list, Dusty. I'm in again this week but have got lots of other things to do too, so I may not get as far as extras, which in turn means that the ironing board cover will stay unwashed - again! :rotfl:

Glad you had a nice birthday, pixiedust. :T Many Happy Returns!

I'm in! I have tried The Flylady approach before using her website. I love the premise but it is not quite for me. So...here goes joining you lot. I have never washed my ironing board cover...about time to do this to I'd say.
