First try resetting IE to see if it resolves your problem. If not, then reinstall.

I reset as the instructions in your link showed but am still left with IE hanging, taking forever to load and sometimes becoming completely frozen.
Can you advise best route now for reinstalling?
I saw further down the page in your link how to reinstall but it wasn't clear if I had to remove/uninstall first?
\Thanks for your help.:o0 -
No, no need to uninstall.0

Sorry for this but when I tried to download it said 'a recent version of IE has been detected so cannot download'.
Any further thoughts please?0 -
This may be a stupid question but have you updated to IE 9? Obviously firefox/chrome are better browsers, but if you do want to use IE you should upgrade via windows update or via microsoft direct?Old Faithful we roam the range together,

Glad I had a quick scan before making a similar joke! :rotfl:0 -
I've been having real problems with both firefox and ie since the weekend. Have tried everything with varying results. However I run bittorrent [yes I know!] and tonight I got an update notice offering a 'more stable' version. Made me wonder. I uninstalled bittorrent and got instant results; everything back to normal.Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0
