Hello, I work for George Clothing.

I can tell you, that today (Tuesday) was the mid-season sale on ladieswear, kidswear, menswear, and lingerie. Most of this stuff is about half price.

The items your getting for £1, 25p is not all George stores. Each store can mark down clothing that isnt selling. So, a pair of jeans may scan at the correct price of £10 at one store but another store may have made an un-authorised mark down of £5.

I can also confirm that the £4 basic jeans that have been rolled back to £3 are nearly sold out. Stores were given a certain amount and that was it. Allthough, some stores will receive odds while the depots clear of this stock.

I went in last Saturday to Southampton Central - most older stuff was reduced to 3 or 4 quid minimum - but did pick up 2 pairs of jeans for a quid each - and they were both pairs previously selling for 15 quid or so - not the cheapie jeans!

Both were perfect quality and my size Was right at the back of the store and had to rummage a bit though!

At my local Asda the staff said they were waiting for new stock to come in any day and only stores where they have an excess of old stock will bargins be available.

RUN!!! On offer Asda South African red wine, 3l box, 13%,normally £11.43, on offer at £5.99!!!! Yes, thats £1.50 a bottle!!! And its blomin gorrgous! Tried it last week , kept meaning to go get some more but kept forgetting. Bought the last one at Bradford Rooley lane this lunchtime, will be going to Shipley on way home. Good luck.
