Had a nice walk up to town and met my friend for a coffee and a chat. Then got weighed on the free machine appalingly somehow 4lbs heavier than last week! Eek! Hope it's a hormonal increase. Body fat happily normal at 27%. Phew!

Bought a new night cream as I will run out next week on half price offer to try out and that's it. So it was a spendy day but a low spend day.

Still feeling very much full of cold and not up to much so, I thnk I'll do a quick sweep and mop of the floors and hoover and that's about it for today. Looks like it will be an early night and hope to wake up feeling better tomorrow.

Certainly feel better after all that walking and fresh air. Off to make some flapjacks now for some nice homemade snacks

    A fab day today!

Went a bit bonkers spring cleaning getting rid of lots of high up dust and cobwebs and cleaned the corner where I keep my bike. All cleaned and tidied now - result!

I have been on 2 long dog walks for over an hour each which was also good for this weekend's exercise as I'm not up to cardio with this cold I'm getting over.

Last bit of fabness was my aim of using up a super expensive facial exfoliator which has been in the cupboard for ages. Time to use it and smile when it goes. I have also had a facemask and then its time to sort those feet out.

Have cleaned 2 items ready to photo for the next free listing day to hopefully build up the repayment funds.

Also NSD 5 :D and no clothes spends 6 :j

My fabness today was taking my dog for our usual long weekend walk out after work and take advantage of the light and dry weather.

Not much else to report apart from filling in some of the PhD form while at work this afternoon and also read a couple more papers for the dissertation as some appts didn't turn up, put the time to good use though.

Another acceptance for the dissertation interviews which now stand at 7 - all aranged now for the month ahead

Pennies left now for the rest of the month sadly - trying hard to not spend and pay off debts.

NSD 6 and no clothes spend 7

Yeah! After another phonecall at the weekend I am pleased to announce that one credit card has been officially closed. Took a long time and I'm really pleased to be down to 3. Although it doesn't feel like it right now as life is very hard right now, I know I'm on the right track and it's onwards and upwards from here.

A year from now, if I keep at it, life will be better and continue to go in that direction. Just have to keep reminding myself at times, like now when it gets tough

Just remember why I'm doing this - so the money I earn is mine, not the bank's. I can spend it, save it and budget with it as I choose to do - can't wait!

I'm off work today as last night I didn't do a thing, had an early night, woke up feeling not good and thought as normally I get up fine it was probably best to have a couple of days of to get over this cold I thought had gone/

So, its 2 quiet days in for me wrapped up in a blanket taking things easy. Knew yesterday something was up with how tired I felt in the morning and also a burning mouth and throat. Looks like juggling life is getting in the way again, 4 mths to go and it will settle back down once the dissertation is finished. Certainly not up to any exercise though - grr!

Happily though it will be 2 easy NSDs gained as a result.

While here feeling rubbish I thought it might be worth a call to virgin to have another go at getting the interest rate reduced 6mths on from last time. Yet again they won't budge at all. Oh well, worh a phonecall to try.

When the next free listing weekend arrives I'll be listing again and if they sell, throwing the repayments at this card to get that balance down and pay off and accrue less interest. When that card account is paid off and closed down I will have a very large smile on my face at that achievement that's for sure.

Might take some ebay photo's later as it's brightened up and all I've done so far is sit down on the settee

Decided to relist 8 items that haven't sold so far - reduced everything to get free listings - let's see if they get new homes to go to and I get some repayment funds in.

Photo's to take later ready to go on when it's free listing day

Lots of photo's taken this afternoon of the pile of stuff I put to one side to list. Finally got around to it. As a result, more space, a lot more space appeared in the kitchen cupboard and now the pans from the pan stand all fit in there!

Space has reappeared in the kitchen - yipee! The pan stand is going to be listed on there too as its in very good condition and sparkly after a good wipe down wash.

Nothing too exertive this afternoon but felt I should do something - those jobs I put off for ages.

Just keeping an eye out now for a free listing weekend.

I've budgeted for the rest of the month - £20 or less on food. Have written a list of things to get, plan is to stay on list. £23 on petrol or less to stay in budget, helped this week by 2 days off sick, a strange upside!

Tomorrow I've planned a store cupboard tea to use up some preserved asparagus from the other year so lets see how that turns out as I need to use those jars up this year. Then the worktop will be a little less cluttered too - my goodness, is it spring or something!
