Flight to Beijing

Hi all,

Looking at flying to Beijing on 02/11/12 returning 17/11/12. Best I have found so far is with Air China for £531.66 flying out of LGW at 1200 returing to LHR departing Beijing at 12:30 local time. That is booking via Air China's website which seems to knock five pounds of the Skyscanner/Travel Supermarket website.

Just wondering if anyone has any other suggestions. I would prefer to fly direct.

Thanks in advance,

Sam

If you return at 01:55 on the 16th or 18th back to LGW it is £15 less
  • Thanks Caz, although I think I'd rather have an extra night and a lay in!
  • It's gone up to £580 now! :-(

Looks like I will be going indirect after all. It's not worth paying an extra £100 for direct flights.
  • Probably not everyones choice, but you can fly to Beijing from Rome via Moscow and back to Heathrow for £385 with Aeroflot (I know!) leaving 1 November and coming back 17 November. Of course, you'd have to get to Rome first.

  • Woah nice find, but I'm not in Rome! :rotfl:

Beijing is a long way so I actually prefer an indirect flight (unless I'm in a flat bed in business...) to give me a chance to stretch my legs and freshen up on the way. Emirates would be my choice on that route.

That's what Ryanair/easyJet/Monarch/(enter budget airline of choice here) are for, getting places in europe cheaply!!!

You could also look at http://soc.li/g0gliui (note: on this website travel genie link doesn't work, click the top link at the side)
  • Hmm but I used to watch airline! If easyjet don't get me there in time I'd be in trouble!

LCC's are some of europe's most ontime airlines, becasue of such tight schedules putting crew under pressure, the advantages being much of the time they are on time, the downside being as soon as they are late by 5 mins that's mucked up the rest of the day.
