Orange Pay Monthly phones HELP

If you are in a Pay Monthly contract with Orange and you want to add a second mobile to your account, do they need to credit check and credit score you all over again, presuming you've always been a good payer etc etc

I never had, they allowed me upto 3 connections then re-check you

The only time they might recheck you would be if you were continually late paying or had missed a few altogether...

Really? AFAIK I have always been checked for new connections, although they do put a lot more emphasis on your history with them than worrying a lot about the result of the check. Orange have given me up to 5 phones on the same account at one point, despite my credit being too poor to get a connection anywhere else - and I have the odd late payment and a one-time payment plan with them in the past. They're quite forgiving it seems.

Snap - I rang them last week to ask them if they could take half payment from me then and the rest this week, they had a look at my history (multiple connections all paid by direct debit, not one late payment or missed payment) and said yes straight away - no trouble. I have 4 phones with them plus Home Broadband and landline and had mobile broadband which has just been disconnected (upon request, not because I hadnt paid the bill :rotfl:)
When I got my BlackBerry (second connection) the nice lady in the Orange shop told me it goes on internal history for a second connection if that helps, so if your internal rating is good you should be ok.
