I thought !!!!!!!!!! No way would I be that, I am MAC NC20, so the lighter range of shades. He tried it and it was perfect, he gave me a large decant to take home and try. This guy knew his brand and what was correct, no fancy high tech machine.
In the new By Terry foundation I can wear shades 2, 4 and 7.
Hi, thanks for this, I will now try all the By Terry shades you have mentioned! I am somewhere between NC20 and NC25, NC20 looks too pasty while NC25 looks too 'baked' on me. My HG of all time is a chanel in no. 20, tried loads of brands / shades which have never come close, although I can't stop trying anything new out there...0 -
One of the advantages of buying in MOST space nk stores ( obviously not concessions) is that they tend to by light and glass fronted. You can stand at the window with a mirror.
I have difficult skin, (roseacea, lots of medication changes impacting on my skin) and they are really, really kind and generous with samples.
By terry version of touch! !clat is good (I think Terry developed touch! !clat? ) anyway, now there are loads of colours of touch! eclate I'd rather get the by terry one in a window where I can check the colour.
The other thing I'd say is that even with my sometimes difficult skin I haven't used a foundation since I found the right (space nk sourced) bb cream for me. I can build it up to give better coverage on difficult days and my skin reacts less frequently to it.
There is no getting away from the fact space nk is expensive. But buying thinks 20percent of the price repeatedly because they turn out to be the wrong colour or don't suit your skin adds up too. Going somewhere I can check colour, get pretty reliable advice and samples works out cheaper for me.0 -
The original Space NK in Covent Garden that I was always in and out of as a student seems to have closed down some time ago. I haven't been in one for quite some time, although now I will definitely make a detour to get to one, I am quite happy with the texture and shade of the Chanel I use but always deplore the fact that I have no other foundation to play with

I had the colour match at boots warm ivory no7 which I think is good for my very pale skin.the only thing that put me off was the consultant/sales assistant used a powder concealer and got an already used dirty make up brush from a drawer wiped it clean with a tissue and used it on my face.I think it was the shock that I never spoke up and stopped her.0

When I was 19 I went with my mum to a make up party. I never had spots and like most 19 year olds no uneven skin tone / dark circles etc...
the lady picked me to try the make up on, She used everything. Concealer, foundation, powder and a tonne of make-up. I can remember my mums face as it was plastered on! It was like a mask - the amount of make up remover to get it off was incredible!!! Even at my current age of 40 I don't use that amount - and it was all the wrong colour!!!!0
