  • Normally the magazine is listed on the bottom or top somewhere.

But here's the results of my google search - hopefully you'll find it.

Thankyou for your help, it was from the cross stitcher magazine. Think I have narrowed it down to issue 179 from your google link. There's a few listed on Ebay going to ask if they include the chart as there's a phrase on the page that says "to stitch the complete advent calendar use your free foldout giant chart" which makes me think it was also included in that issue.
  • Hi bobbis mummy, sorry I have no idea, they were ones mum passed to me.

Off to finish my underground map!

Not to worry, hope you didn't mind me asking. With help of Chickywiggle's google link I think I have worked out the issue number. Thank you again for sending the charts lots more projects added to my to do list!! xx

    and I love this.

I like the second link Chicky. The third link is also very appealing.

Some of you may remember this (which I have posted previously)

Does anyone recognise this chart? It featured (I think) either in Cross Stitch Gift Shop or an early issue of Cross Stitch Card Shop. On the same page as the bookworm chart there featured a DIY bookmark and a sweetie pie cake design (I guess to fit a coaster) It also mentions that on page 15, another bookmark design can be found....

Helpfully I can't tell you what text is at the bottom of the page as I can only find the photcopied chart this evening (tidied up the other week and now can't find a thing!!)

I should also say that I have used vaerigated threads for my stitching - this isn't what the charts tell you to do however!!
  • Thank you chicky i have the 3rd but had forgotten about it! Eric it is a cross stitcher chart so will probally be on the making spot.

Yes it is Cross Stitcher Mag 179. I don't have the magazine to hand but do have the tatty ted advent calendar giant chart and this says on the back Don't miss next month, issue 180, festive bellpull ringer.

    Happy Easter everyone. :easter:

I have a cooking frenzy planned for today (muffins/sausage casserole and beef madras curry) so I'm up early in anticipation of getting organised. (despite a poor night's sleep and the clocks going forward (grrr at the clocks)

I plan to do some stitching later too :j and I might just eat a little bit of chocolate :rotfl:

Here is the chart for the bookworm design above. I've always thought that the page was taken from Cross Stitch Gift Shop but now I'm not so sure. I do have the original page from the magazine *somewhere* but can only find the photocopy at the moment. I think it must have been a christmas themed issue because it seems to read Stocking Gifts in the top right hand corner.

I'd like to know what magazine this is from (1) for nostagia and (2) because there is another bookworm design on page 15 !

Also if you have any issues of Cross Stitch Gift Shop and can tell me what issue the keyrings were featured in (I think you got a key ring as a free gift) then I would be very grateful. There were a few designs you could stitch (I remember stitching an elephant) and also there was an alphabet with hearts that fitted the keyring also. I don't think this magazine ran for very long.

Thanks so much for confirming it. Can I be a pain and ask was it actually within the magazine or an additional piece of paperwork? Going to ask all those advertising 179 if they have the chart and fingers crossed I'll come up trumps!!
