Is the free gift a Margeret Sherry calendar? If so, I'd love it. I was gonna see if WH Smiths had the mag in the shops tomorrow so I could see if it was worth buying the mag to get the free gift.

No trouble Ruth_honey, I'll PM you!

Thanks Maria, I'll have to go and hunt up a copy. I saw your and FOS's reviews and thought 'Hmmm Christmas patterns, yay!' It's only just clicked that they were reviews of Cross Stitcher :rotfl:

Oops sorry Maria, I saw your name in the post and thought it was your review.

I did see your one for WOXS, it's always interesting to see which designs people like :j

Looking back I see it was in fact Brednall and flowerofscotland who reviewed Cross Stitcher, that I'm now going to go and buy, thanks girls! :D

Thank you so much! I've emailed my address to you.

Leemina-That big cat design looks AMAZING! I've admired that chart for ages. On the black background it looks so dramatic.

  • Good morning Cross Stitchers

JCS Finishing Post is looking really good and will look stunning when finished. Is it for you or a gift?

nmm that fur is looking very realistic

chicky you are so right - the IF in gold and green is perfect

beg "Misery loves company" does seem to be true - so often bad things seem to happen one after the other. Hope you can stay strong. I have found that stitching has helped me through some very dark days and I hope it can help you as well

leemina Well done on finishing your UFO especially when it was a challenging stitch (black aida ) Now I've seen it thanks to Magscat I see that it is one I stitched a while ago and is hanging on my wall. It looks very effective though I was glad to have finished it and am not sure my eyes will cope with black fabric now

rubyrara Sorry I have never used waste canvas. Willow Fabrics sell it but I don't know if they are the cheapest

Louise Love your logic and totally agree with it

WOCS Loved reading the reviews - thanks for doing this. I like the calendar though I won't use it before January (would have to take down one already in use). The only designs in the magazine that I really like are the assortment of robins which I think are great. I like the stocking but it's a lot of work. I like the look of the Michael Powell design next month. He had a stand at the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham and I enjoyed looking at the stitched models though I didn't buy anything.

Flateric Bad news about your subs copy. Loved the link to the MS chart collection - my stash is obviously worth more than I thought :D
