i've used savastore in the past and haven't really had a problem. i'm very suspicious of this new set-up though. to rush a website back when it isn't working properly doesn't suggest they're in this for the long haul. i personally think they just want to get shot of all the stock they 'acquired' from watford electronics as quickly as possible. if they had a long-term objective, they wouldn't launch a site that didn't work properly and that just annoys people.

i for one won't be buying anything because the chances of being able to return it if it goes wrong don't look good!

if i'm wrong and they are planning to make a proper go of it, whoever made the decision to launch the website incomplete and in a non-functional state should be shot (or at least fired on the grounds of gross incompetence)!

YOU KNOW NOTHING, DO YOU OWN THEM? IF SO CAN I HAVE THE ITEMS OR MONEY THEY STOLE FROM ME. AND NO, I DONT HAVE TO BACK IT UP TO YOU, YOU'RE A NOBODY.

You will find the caps lock on the middle row at the left hand side of your keyboard.

You conveniently don't have to provide back up, because you CAN'T of course.

I'm not defending Sava(er)store, nor do I have anything to do with them, however I await proof of ANY of the allegations from the peope who are slagging them off.

Many of the allegations are quite clearly 100% fiction, or are posted by people who cannot actually read.

OK, here's the link I was talking about:

I'm not being overly skeptical, but there is a significant element of risk involved. Just be careful people.

I think you children annoyed mummy too much with your constant bickering - she's closed this thread!

  • Oh dear - I placed an order with them this morning, and now the website says coming soon?!

Picked up my order today - was an attempted delivery on Wednesday this week. All looks ok - outer packaging (plastic courier bag) stinking, but that's Business Post's fault, not theirs.

I got the photo frame, and am thinking of buying 2-3 more. 1 for us, and 1 for each pair of parents as a neat way of sharing pics of our upcoming wedding with them.

I think that there is no point arguing about whether they are dodgy or not.

The issue is whether you have any moral compunction in buying from people whose business went bankrupt, only for their cronies to then proceed to set up another company selling the same stock? If Asda went bankrupt tomorrow, having taken money for my pre-ordered PS4, I would hardly go the next day and buy similar stock sold by similar people from the same premises, using a very similar website called ASDER. It's not rocket science here peeps - would you trust these people again with your money.

DON'T BUY FROM SAVASTORE/SAVERSTORE/WATFORD ELECTRONICS OR WHATEVER THEY ARE CALLED NOW!!!

I live 3 miles from their store and I would rather buy from Ebuyer.com and pay delivery, that's how bad they are. Believe me I have purchased many items from them over the years as it was convenient but got sick of the general attitude and non professionalism of the staff they employ, both in the store and on the phone lines. As for their after sales, once they have your money they don't give a monkey's. I once waited 3 weeks for something that was listed as 'in stock'. I eventually had to go to the store to cancel the order as I could not get through on the phone.

By contrast Ebuyer could not do enough for me when I purchased a duff processor from them. I had a return authorisation within a few hours and a new processor within 4 days, together with my postage refunded for sending the duff one back.

EDIT: By the way I went past the warehouse/shop today out of interest and it is all closed. Doesn't bode well!!!
