I ordeded a wireless printer from them as Savastore ... and the service was exceptional. Spot on printer, brand new, cheapest price, and super swift delivery.
No complaints from me!!!
But did you have to send it back? That's when the troubles started with me.
To me the way they do business & also by going bankrupt & thus owing people money then opening up again without offering the goods to the people they owe money to. I wouldn't do business with people like that.Nice to save.0 -

I'm on IE7 but it will not load for me. Get same message as above!!!0 -
Living not far from Savastore (Watford Electronics) I was able to buy things from there over the counter.
The impression you got when dealing with them was that all customers were scum not worthy of any effort whatsoever. That attitude wasn't just one or 2 sales staff, it was pervasive. And that was face to face...what were they like when they didn't have to see/talk to you?
I will say that it was useful as a place for buying cables cheaply (rather than PC World prices) but I would never buy anything expensive from them.
They went out of business because their suppliers lost faith in them after seeing their reported profits (around £200,000 for the year IIRC). When you treat customers like that you eventually lose repeat/corporate business - where the profits really are.
Watford Electronics declared bankruptcy and were bought out immediately by a "completely seperate" company trading from the same business address. Draw your own conclusions.
Am I sad they are gone? I will be when I need some cheap network cable and I have to pay P&P costs. But if ever a company deserved it....0 -
Please provide links to prove the rant you have posted above.
'Their family come in as receivers' my @rse.
'They hide the money they screwed out of the public'. Your evidence is where?
They're just not efficient and don't make profits, hence they go bankrupt. Same as any other business which fails. Watch out Jessops, you're next...
They haven't done anything illegal as far as I can see.
How rude and ignorant you are!
I don't have to prove the truth.
How about you go off and do some research on the subject
and report back and apologise.0 -
You must be mad, these people are crooks
They hide the money they screwed out of the public
then go bust but some of their family come in as receivers
and it happens all over again.
They been doing same thing for what 10 to 15 years?
I'm sure theres people know about them here,
They are terrible:mad:
EH? Really. When was the last time Watford Electronics went bust then (apart from Feb this year?).
This company has been going for over 20 years - far longer than Dell in fact or any number of PC manfacturers.
I know *personally and, whislt I wouldn't necessarily trust him to pay an invoice I might send him, I would never suspect that he would deliberately set out to trade immorally.
I think to label the company / people as crooks puts you on very dodgy ground - you might like to look up the meaning of "Libel".0 -
Actually Domski is spot on. It isn't the first time they have done this. As the company is privately owned they squirrel away money or move it into other businesses outside of Savastore. Then they use loopholes in bankruptcy law to come out of it quids in by buying the company back for nothing, writing off the debts and starting again.
Wouldn't touch them with a bargepole. I've worked in the industry 10 years and know the company well.
Please provide evidence of when this company last went bust and phoenixed.
To my knowledge, it hasn't happened. Instead, they bought other PC makers that went bust.
If someone can provide evidence to support these claims, then I'll appologise. I've known the Jessa's on an off for a lot longer than you've been in the industry and if there's no evidence then I believe all statements that suggest that Watford Electronics has gone bust before are garbage.0 -
edit....
I don't have to prove the truth.

Sorry? Is this your truth you're talking about or THE TRUTH?
If it's THE TRUTH, then you must surely be able to prove that it is indeed, THE TRUTH and you should be happy to do so in the knowledge that you're providing all other readers of this thread with real fact and not personal comment based upon hearsay, bias or whatever else drives people to post comment without any evidence.
So, how about you provide your research? I'll be very happy to appologise for this posting once I have had the time to corroborate it.0 -
my experience with them was extremely negative: they showed utter comtempt by selling the email address I used on their site to Spam merchants (managed to trace it back to savastore), and I received absolutely no response to the complaints I emailed.
very cheesed off with the fact they profited from ruining my now spam clogged email address.0 -

But there's enough smoke about to suggest caution, when dealing with them.0 -
The truth means what actually happened.
Not according to me but fact not lies.
How come you people that have attacked me don't read:
