Costa Coffee wifi using coffee club card

Hi
O2 wifi connection at my local Costa Coffee prompts me to key either my mobile phone number or Costa Coffee Club card number.
If I key in my 20 digit Coffee Club Card number it returns that I have not keyed in a valid mobile phone number.
Has anyone been able to successfully connect to O2 wifi at Costa Coffee using their Coffee Club card number?

My local Costa Coffee is in Tescos so I use their wifi, have you tried asking one of Costa's baristas?That gum you like is coming back in style.0
