Hi gang back from the craft fair and managed to buy a couple of presents towards Christmas.I also got some smashing cheese and some honey. It wasn't cheap but then again what is these days. There was a chap from Yorkshire who had some great carved wooden bits and one of them was a little whistle pipe that when you put some water in the bowl of the pipe it trills like a bird.It was £1.95 so a nice little tree present for my youngest DGS Mikey.I also got a nice small square wooden board made especially for chopping garlic on that was only £4.00 so another small gift towards Christmas.Lots of stuff there was a bit on the dear side, but if its more than a fiver I just don't think about it.
Splashed some of my 'Happy cash' and spent about £20.00 odd all told .We left around 2.00 p.m. as it was just getting too hot, and I drove to Chiddingstone where we had a lovely pot of tea in a small shop that was over 500 years old .We had a stroll around the village and went into the church where it was nice and cool.
Got back home around 4.30 and sis-in-law had to scoot off as she is looking after her DDs dog for the weekend.I am now relaxing with a large cup of tea and tonights dinner will be a couple of pork and leek sausages that I bought from the fair (90% pork ) and mash and mixed veg. Then its feet up and a bit of t.v..
Hope you all have had as nice a day as I did.
My Christmas present stash is growing, I keep an eye out for odds and ends around this time of the year and put them away for Christmas in a big box in my spare room that the boys never go into:):)
Tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter than today still it keeps the CH bills down at least
cheers chums,

Glad you had a nice day JackieO
I've had a nice day too - just pottering about at home:)
3 loads of washing done. One load of ironing.:T:) got given a bag of apples - a mixture of eating and cooking from my sister so shall be making a crumble probably tomorrow.
I've mowed all the lawns and done some weeding and also found time to read my book and watch the Ruth Rendell tv drama that I'd taped.
Just coking the mushroom risotto and burgers for DH - quorn fillets for me.
I've hidden some chocolate(on offer) in the fridge as a weekend treat for later when we've got our feet up after walking the dogs.
Have a lovely evening all xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Good evening uolypool and all,
what a beautiful day its been! I managed to do all my washing yesterday but it was so nice i even managed to find a bit more today.... i'm a glutton for punishment.
Ive been to the bank, managed to get my son some steel toe capped boots for college and we went grocery shopping too. Hubby is pleased with my efforts in cutting down (i managed to get the bill down to £59 this week) and we wont be living on bread and water next week which will be a bonus.
I'm still looking for a new phone. Ive got 12 months left on my contract but the phone is a pain..... not found the ideal one yet (that doesnt cost an arm and a leg).
I'd best get on with the tea i think, we are having chicken tonight but i'm not sure what we are having with it yet. I was going to do a full meal (cause hubby only eats rubbish in the week) but he mentioned sandwiches earlier which will be easily done.
Have a great evening all, my neighbours are they are outside partying hard and very drunk. No music thankfully to spoil the peace on this lovely sunny evening, just lots of laughter.:)This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Evening everyone. Well what a day. Ds uni room is lovely, however I was stunned when my sister whipped out her marigolds and anti bac spray:rotfl::rotfl: I couldnt believe her. Only a few have moved in today and they now have a SPOTLESS kitchen and he has a room with an on suite and that had a good scrub as well.Had his room looking homely in about half an hour , went to the launderette and showed him how to use the washer and drier so hopefully no shrunk clothes;). His food cupboards are fit to burst , so is the alcohol cupboard, aka the wardrobe floor.
We went out for a lovely pub lunch so I knew he had eaten and then left him chatting to 2 other lads that had arrived , all with a bottle of stella in their hand. A few tears shed by me , my sister on the other hand blubbed like a baby, love her. Got in and sat down , was having a cuppa, text him to say we had got back safely and he replied with , "good good, I'm off out to the pub, speak tomorrow , but I will ring you".
So dont think I have too much to worry about.;)
On the other hand though ds3 said that woofer had been wandering round all day looking for him.Paul Walker , in my dreams;)0 -

The photos are lovely flutterby, what a lovely day you had for it too. Your Mum, Dad and I presume Nan look so proud, well done :T
I ended up having a tru day (Lazy Day is henceforth known as a tru day :rotfl:) I didn't go back to bed I just kept going, but I am planning on taking a couple of tramadol tonight and hopefully I will get a good night's sleep. I don't like to take them too often ( They are addictive if you are not careful because they are an opiate).
Ended up having egg, bacon, beans and mushrooms for dinner, nice and quick before Dr Who started
Best of all DH washed upBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
