misty here so far but it promises to be good. Two loads on the line and have stripped the bed so that is going in the machine too.
Lawns will all get a cut later.
We wanted to load the car up with hedge cuttings for the skip but the water men dug the road up yesterday - put in traffic lights right outside our house so we cant park there then went off and left it for the weekend! Why they couldn't wait till Monday I dont know:mad:
Thinking of doing a mushroom risotto for tea later.
Have a great weekend all xDo what you love :happyhear0 -

Been busy so far this morning with HW and dog walking, finished altering a top that was reduced but too big for me. Its fine now:Dso thats my bit of OS for the day, going to go and shower in a mo as DH and I are off into Manchester on the train.meeting 2 friends and having a ploughmans at one of the bars by the canal so that should be nice. We're lucky having a little station close by that can take us straight in,and its cheap at weekend, should use it more really.
DS1 is picking DGD up this afternoon, she is staying till teatime tomorrow so her Mum can have a rest.He is taking her to a friends
baby's Christening tomorrow aft,and she will meet his new(ish) GF
who is a lovely girl. That reminds me I need to finish off the card I am making for the Christening.
I doubt we'll need any tea tonight,DS2 will have the fish cakes he didnt fancy last nightTomorrow, will wait and see what the weather is like,I have got a half price beef joint for the sc,but its got a long date on it so can swap if its too hot.Its certainly not scorching at the mo,and a bit dull but meant to get better later.

Morning everyone
Hugs to those that need/want them that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x
Blue sky, forecast says sunshine all day, was a bit misty first thing, but that has now cleared. DH up and off to work stupid early. Washing out on the line.
Heard a bit of racket outside last night at 11pm ish, looked out of the window and a car was well ablaze on the road opposite our house, people running around, so rang for fire brigade as was close to houses opposite and flames were high and it was under the branches of a tree. Fire brigade arrived and put it out but were there nearly an hour, Police eventually arrived, doesn't appear that anyone was hurt so that's the main thing, but seems a very strange place to dump a car as it's right in fright of a row of houses - our road is quite busy, we have lots of country lanes close by which is where cars that are dumped and then torched are usually left - may hear on the local grapevine what's happened!
Boys have gone out with my bro and dad for the day - watching motorsport, bet they have a great day! Had to get up and take boys to dad's early so went straight from there on to next town to get wedding gift organised for the wedding we're going to next week, managed to find a nice outfit too, as had nothing to wear, had a short wander round the shops, then came home so I could just chill and enjoy the peace and quiet until DH gets home. Boys won't be back until much later this afternoon/evening. Have a half leg of lamb to do a roast tonight as we're going to mum and dad's tomorrow lunchtime for a bbq, so we're having roast tonight.
Have a good day, stay safe and well x

So far I have gone food shopping and taken the recycling. Not sure I am very good at this "doing what you want" malarky :rotfl:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Afternoon all, hot and sunny here so washing is on line and another load in the WM. Have been shopping now need to tidy a bit, not too bad as the kids and DH have been good this week. I did have a bit of a meltdown last monday when I arrived home from work to no dinner, told them they had to do more as I'm the only one working and I shouldn't have to sort everything else out:eek: Hugs to all in need, hope you get to do nothing Bitsy hope your son settles well uolypool the time will go so quickly, 3 years ago we were taking my daughter, seems like yesterday. If you think he has a lot of stuff now , wait until you have to take it back next summer !!!!!!!!!!!!!

nmlc how weird but at least noone got hurt
jackieo hope you have a good day out, perfect weather for it
Afternoon all. I'm just shlepping about and recuperating today really. Aside from the commute (looking for a room right now), work is quite easy going and not very challenging which is actually really draining, I need to be busy!
Been costco and started on the curry for tomorrow- after chopping onions and garlic for curry for 20 my hands stank  The whole thing for 20 with copious leftovers inevitable and soft drinks is costing £30 which is a bargain considering it's going to be really meaty.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Afternoon All
Bitsy - stick to pleasing yourself today, hope it goes well!
JackieO - Have a lovely day, sounds fab.
Hope all those with children moving on manage today, I remember it well!
Up early to see DD off to work then woke DS2 and took him into Glasgow for a wander, him and his GF are off to Greece tomorrow for a holiday so he will stay here tonight and I will take him through to Edinburgh tomorrow morning, he will meet up with his GF at the airport - she's coming back from Finland so I hope her plane isn't delayed.
Didn't buy anything myself (apart from our lunch) but enjoyed just wandering and people watching. Work tonight at 6. I am making them toad in the pond for tea with mashed pots, they can warm it up when they get in.
Have a good weekend. Take care. XX0 -
Got my sisters dog here this week, she is my dogs mum and very old now, she is really no trouble at all, as long as she can get out for a wee, and has the odd treat. She is almost completely deaf, and sometimes she does not hear you coming, and when you touch her she jumps out of her skin, bless her.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
