Evening all - I didn't sleep at all last night, so the only thing I achieved today was going through the reduced section in our local Tesco, but picked up some bargains like 2 zesty lemon tarts for 70p. Not the kind of thing I usually buy, but I wouldn't make them either, so that's a treat."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000

Well done to FB :j:j
Builder here and making picnic for dds as they are going down south to visit their sister for a couple of days.
Made DH and me a pork chop with new potatoes and peas for lunch then set off to visit other dd in hospital. Finally found out they are treating her for pneumonia (which we knew) and a suspected blood clot and she has a scan next week on her kidneys
Came home and tea of leftover chop and HM burger with salad and strawberries and cream to follow. Set off back to hospital and collected washing etc then got home in time for me to change our bed and have a long shower and put my feet up.
YS beef joint is in freezer and YS slow cooking beef in fridge for tomorrow. Weird to only have the two of us at home as usually it is five of us here and sometimes six, seven or eight if dds have a friend over.

I lost a crown years ago to a cheese sandwich and it is a horrible feeling when you have a gap with a screw protruding from the gum etc.

Hi all I'm glad the roots gone but I'm fed up that the gum is so sore and still bleeding slightly. My DD had a look at it tonight and said perhaps I should have had a stitch in it as it was so deep, but it'll stop eventually I expect.I'm supposed to be off to Penshurst Place Craft fair tomorrow with my sis-in-law so I'm hoping I'll feel better in the morning .feel a bit yuk at the moment Very warm and humid still and I just don't fancy anything to eat at all, rotten taste in my mouth as well.still I rinsed my mouth with luke warm salt water so that should aid the healing a bit Right I'm off to bed for an early night as I'm not feeling too brilliant.Night God bless all here

Jackie: I had a wisdom tooth out in similar circumstances a couple of weeks ago. I did have 2 stitches in but was told to have frequent warm salt water rinses as it was the best thing for healing. It did seem to work as after a few days I could actually touch the hole with my tongue without undue discomfort. I also had antibiotics, don't know what difference that made.
when I went back the dentist told me that it would be fine, but it would take up to a year for the hole to even itself out and the gum to become completely smooth again.
The taste in your mouth is horrid isn't it? Don't worry, it will feel better in no time at all.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Welcome on board Tiglath
elona (((Hugs))) for DD what a worry x
Bitsy they are expensive but in a few weeks if they don't sell well they will be reduced (That is why I bought mine I got them for £4 each) They really do wash well and mine look as good as new after nearly a year. I have started to buy quality rather than cheap so that I don't have to spend out for the same item for at least five years.
Barbecue went well, but it was too late for me to eat really so I just had an egg and lettuce wrap.
DH has gone to bed and the youngsters are playing on the x box so I have an hour or so to browse the web.
Flutterby I hope everything goes well for you tomorrow, enjoy your day, you have earned it xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
