Judi, I love feeding the birds too. Well I did, they all ignore the feeders now and fly straight to the chicken food :D The chickens seem happy enough with this arrangement :D Wood pigeons, doves, sparrows, robins, blue tits and a couple of others which I can't identify.

    Morning all.

Another beautiful day here today. Unfortunately the Rev has an appointment in Newport so I am going along for the ride and to hit Poundstretcher, Poundland and Easyweigh, all my favourite shops.:j
I hope we get there and back without too much trouble. It is the Bestival this weekend, cue thousands of happy youngsters (and a few older recycled teenagers) pouring off the ferries, hung about with tents, camping gear, rucksacks etc and bringing all the traffic to a standstill. One year it took us 5 hours to do a 15minute journey.
Anyway, we have to go, so onward and upward!

Yesterday the Rev was expecting an important visitor in the afternoon so I made plenty of biscuits including some luscious shortbread-dipped-in-chocolate ones. The Rev moaned piteously that I never made them just for us. Too right. They wouldn't last 5 minutes. In the event the visitor gave up trying to get on a ferry, there was a queue a mile long, so she didn't turn up. When I peeped in the biscuit tin before I went to bed there were THREE biscuits left.:eek::eek:

I've been washing like mad to make the most of the good weather so the ironing mountain seems to have re-appeared. What are we eating today? Not a clue. Obviously not biscuits.:D

Happy Birthday Mioliere:bdaycake:You have been gone too long I hope that you are ok x

Found one load of washing and that is fluttering on the line :D. I am so glad I didn't do any washing yesterday, because they were slurrying the fields. Phew did it pong.

We are having a barbecue tonight (It was meant to be at the weekend) but DD has copped Saturday and Sunday and she is supposed to be on a four hour contract, still she needs the money.
I hate her being in retail, they take the P out of their workers.... I know, I did it for fifteen years and was glad to get into office work with better money and hours.

Loved wartime farm last night and The Bletchley Circle was brilliant as well (ITV 9pm)

Just remembered that I have to pick up a prescription from the doctors, so will get DS to get the big scooter out alias the Beast :rotfl:

I found them. Was very tempted BUT they are DS to wrap himself up in bed during winter (he won't sleep in PJs......ASD ) and I looked online at Dunelm who sell value fleeces for £2 and since he will use them like bed sheets I can buy more for my money.
Thanks again for the suggestion they looked lovely fleeces.

Good Morning everyone (just) well evenful morning I did the school run with the boys and came home to have my breakfast as I like to be lesuirely when I have it and whilst eating my scrambled eggs on seeded bread I thought thats a large bit of seed to find that one of my crowns had snapped off at the base.I went straight to my lovely dentist and was seen within half an hour .She x-rayed it and said that basically the root had gone too far to save so it had to come out half an hour later with lots of injections she managed to dig the remainder of my chopper out so now I have a large dent where my tooth used to be (luckily its not seen when I smile and my mouth feels like its full of cotton wool.I shall start taking a painkiller at lunchtime as I have history club this afternoon.Bearing in mind that the tooth has been there almost 66 years it was a bit of a bu$$er to come out as there was only to root to get hold of,but she kept giving me pain relief so apart from the horrible crunching sound it didn't hurt at all.No seedy bread for a couple of days though until the cavity has healed a bit.
I got my shopping that I needed on the way back so no more shopping now until next Thursday hopefully.Beautiful day in Kent and my small bit of hand washings is dry so that will get ironed tonight.Hope everyone is enjoying the nice weather
    Take care all

P.S. My friend buys the fleecy blankets at Dunelm as she uses them to back her small quilted blankets that she makes for charity

    Afternoon all,

Thanks again for all your kind thoughts, the little one seems remarkably unscathed but I suppose time will tell. Haven't heard any updates as yet but will let you know.
Just back in from Manchester, youngest starts sixth form on Tuesday so needed a couple more shirts and smart trousers as its business wear 4 days a week. Also got him some stationary and a bag. All very reasonable between primani and po@ndland :D
The walk to the station is a mile each way so shattered, I do miss having a car but it's doing wonders for my waistline!
Another 1.5 off at Ww so that's 20 lbs in total and 10% of my body weight.
BB glad to hear Bletchley Circle was good I've recorded it to watch later.
Jude I'm with you I love the sea, and have always wanted to live near by, maybe it's because I'm a Pisces:)
No rest for the wicked have another couple of eBay parcels tp post so another walk to the post office, jus 15 mins there and back.
Need to visit Mr A tonight as the cupboards are bare.
Have a good day all x

    Happy Birthday to Moiliere :bdaycake:
Lovely day here, but once again am stuck in the office.

Recruited 2 final work kids for my group starting next week, finally full now! Both are lovely girls who I think will do well. Now just finishing off all the admin, think I've used 3 trees in the photocopier already :rotfl:.

After work I'm off to get my haircut, and then I'm going straight to my parents as I'm staying there tonight cos we have an early start tomorrow morning for my PGCE Graduation :j which is in Newport (over an hour's drive away). Quite looking forward to it now, but am paranoid about falling down the stairs! :rotfl:.

    Nothing remotely OS today :o.

    Have a good day all
