Everyone and nobody can decide that but yourself, they are different handsets for different mobile needs, even though they both cover the usual functions that many handsets do, budget , size and other technical factors will come into play that will make one better for one person and the other model better for the other person, it is silly to think that if 20 internet strangers say one is better and only 14 say the other is better, that model A is better than model B, only you can decide so trod along to a store where you can try them out, although a few minutes play with a handset may not be enough to decide

Could running costs be a consideration? By that I mean cost of apps etc? I had the One S for a short while and it really is a lovely phone (certainly 'sleeker' than the iphone) but like DUTR siad only you can decide yourself which you prefer. way bigger screen, though.
PS Forgot to say, the black One S is very susceptible to chipping on the top so a case is recommended.0 -
I looked at both iPhone and one X and if your'e looking at pure spec there's not much in it, or for that matter Huawei G600 for $70 which is why i bought it and luvvin it
The iPhone has dual camera for video chat but I had that on my old sony. Es. and never used it
IPhone also has great image and its a membership to an excllusive. club
But for £500 you need to want to be in it a lot
GSM Arena is a good place to compare and make sure any phone at least has your essential spec requirements
G300 has 4" gorilla glass (I hate screen protectors) 1ghz,5mp camera so was an no brained for meWhen will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?0 -
The HTC one use Android OS. The main problem is the malware, where the os able to send and make chargeable text and calls without your knowledge. The Android app stores including Google Play is full of malware apps. Search the Google for Android Malware if you need more information. The HTC is also been on the BBC watchdog for bad service and problems with the phone. If you do go Android OS make sure to use Amazon app store which like iPhone app store all apps are pre checked for malware. This is the only store for Android to do that.
Due to malware problems such as the link below I prefer to go for iPhone or Windows Phone.

I do agree with DUTR play with the phone in a shop over a few days mainly for size. At the first look the big phone might look good with the large screen but next time you might not like it or might not fit into your pockets.0 -
I have a feeling this thread is about to get much longer in the next few hours, lol.0

OMG.....

Here we go again....is anyone else sick to death of hearing this broken record? (@thegoodman)
Any time somebody asks about or even mentions getting an Android phone, there's almost a cast iron guarantee that you'll pop up spouting the same old carp about Android Malware...
We get it....you're not a fan....is there absolutely any possibility that you could just offer advice based on what the OP is asking, rather than going off on your own agenda?0 -
The One S is a lovely phone, I had one for a couple of days (bought to sell on, almost kept it though!) and it's excellent.
It does have a huge downside though, IMO. It is stuck with a non-upgradable 16GB storage. 16GB doesn't sound too bad, but once you've taken into account the system and data partitions etc, you're left with about 10GB that you can actually use as storage.
Still, with a decent tariff and cloud services it's not the end of the world, but bear it in mind.
Ps. If you were to get the One S, make sure you get the S4 version (Z520e, 1.5GHz) rather than the S3 version (Z560e, 1.7GHz) as it is much better.0 -
I used to have a HTC Incredible S, and then moved to an iPhone 4S.
I prefer the iPhone, for simplicity and ease of use. Perhaps I'm getting old

I've got the HTC ONE V And all in all I'm pretty happy with it. But i have been using an old HTC Wildfire for the last couple of years, so it is much faster.
And just for the record, I've had android phones for years and never had any problems with malware. So if that's the main problem.....
I have had a play with the iphone, but in all honesty, I couldn't justify the price, yes it's a nice phone. But, is it nice enough to justify the price difference? Does it do anything more than the phone you've mentioned?
At the end of the day, it's going to be a personal choice for you. But I wouldn't let the stories of malware put you off an android phone
