Extremly unhappy orange customer!

I have been a orange customer for 7 years with 2 phones on my account, mine and my partners. Around August 2011 I upgraded my partners phone therefore renewing the contract for another 24 months. He opted for the Orange Monte Carlo phone after wonderful reviews. Since then he has had 3 replacements as they have all developed faults. This 3rd handset has also developed a fault which in turn i called Orange to see what they could do as the last replacement was about 3/4 months ago. I explained that the speaker on the phone seems to be broken, it sounds crackly, tinny and as though the speaker had broken. I tried resetting it soft and master still to no avail. Orange told me that if i wanted a new handset then i would have to pay £109 as the phone was just over a year old....but it isnt...it is in fact only a few months old! They told me they could not help me any further apart from calling ZTE that make the phones! This has frustrated me as I have been a orange customer for many years and therefore thought they would try and resolve the issue. I emailed them to complain of the service i recieved to which i recieved and email saying they could not reply to my email. As a resolve all i was wanting was a replacement handset, as we have had so many problems with this model and i offered to pay the extra, or to end the contract and begin a new one with a different model. Nothing! They also quoted that i should have taken orange care out, which to be honest i thought i had as i have this on my handset and therefore thought I had it on both handsets...so again....dead end! At the moment i feel so let down by orange that once my contracts have ended i will go elsewhere, they dont care about their customers as much as they say they do, especially long serving customers like me. As it was an orange phone also i feel that when they say it only is covered by them for 3 months, they dont hold alot of faith in their own products! I have tried calling to speak to line managers etc....but waited on the phone in a que for 45 mins! Absolutly disgusting!

Sorry you have had a bad fault history with the handsets, but heh heh thinking that loyalty means anything, for the record I was with orange for 13 years odd, and the only thing I regret was not leaving sooner, that said when Hans Snook ran the show, they were a great provider to be with (so long as they covered the areas you may use the phone) If as you say you are willing to pay an early termination fee, surely that is more than purchasing a handset outright , perhaps you could look at say the Sony Xperia Ray which is £159 direct from Sony sim free , it's a great handset even at twice the price, or even the Sony Tipo at £129
again sim free .0
