Since our old boy has gone, my gorgeous girl has developed blocked anal glands (sorry if that is too much info:eek:) for the second time. I don't know why this has happened, as she has been perfectly well for 7+ years:(:(:( and has completely gone off of her food.

Aww I'm really sorry to hear that. If you contact the animal shelter they have a good understanding of each dog they have and whether there good with kid and other animal. I think that's your best bet. Although she will improve with time just like we do. It's really sad to see them down. Give her lots of hugs n kisses just to reassure her. Hope she feels her old self again soon
