Anyone on tesco mobile?
Just wondering if anyone is on Tesco mobile? Are you happy with them?
Im on giffgaff at the moment but having a few problems lately that are making me think I made the wrong decision to join, I am debating if I should get my phone unlocked and go elsewhere.
I topped up a few weeks ago and it turned out they were having a few problems, my top up didnt go through for five days, then when it did I got a goody bag and that took two days to go through, Basically I lost a week of this months top up, this seems to happen to me a lot lately.
I have been looking at tesco mobile sim only for £7.50, you get 500mb of data, would this be enough for a smart phone? I am used to having unlimited internet so never really worry if I will go over my limit.
Im not online all the time or anything, I log into facebook from my phone, post a few pictures here and there, the odd time I will check my email, If I am on the bus I will search the internet and read news etc, should 500mb be enough for me?
Thank you.

The network etc are all O2 the only additional is you get customer service0

A number of complaints about a 2nd tier service at peak times, though.
Also look at Talkmobile deals, particularly with Galaxy 5 or cheap Alcatels. They work out cheaper than sim only.0 -
It should be enough for that usage, you will have to find out how much data you've been using with giffgaff to know for sure.Im not online all the time or anything, I log into facebook from my phone, post a few pictures here and there, the odd time I will check my email, If I am on the bus I will search the internet and read news etc, should 500mb be enough for me?0 -
I was also on Giffgaff and lost all patience with them. I'm now on Tesco with 500MB of data (Samsung Wave II), go on Facebook all the time (but very little else, data-wise) and I don't scratch the surface of my data usage.
Tesco - all good IMO0 -
Yes have been on Tesco Mobile for a long time started out on PAYG, then went to pay monthly a year ago and more recently switched to rolling contract at £10 a month even got free handset and insurance got the Samsung Galaxy Y (the poor persons version of an iPhone) but if I could have had the choice to afford it would have chosen the III as bigger screen and more compatibility but will just have to wait for upgrade although by then there will be something else out I fancy I suspect ! Never gone over usage now allways on FB via Mobile and never been unhappy with them. Cusomer service online, on phone or instores
Failure is only someone elses judgement.
Without change there would be no butterflies.
If its important to you, you'll find a way - if not, you'll find an excuse ! ~ Easy to say when you take money out of the equation!

Thanks everyone for taking the time to answer. Im am thinking about tesco mobile now for a possible change. Im limited really as I get zero reception where I am on 3, the same with orange. I used to be on T Mobile but left after they became a bit too expensive for me.
Would have to be sim only as I am happy with the phone I have at the moment.
The main thing would be the data so as long as I dont go over it would be fine.
Thanks again.0 -
Have a look a Talkmobile's £8 sim only, 200 minutes, 500 texts and 500MB data on a 1 month contract rather than 12 months. They use Vodafone signal. Thanks everyone for taking the time to answer. If you go for Talkmobile (part of Carphonewarehouse group) just be aware that if you want to port your number across you need to have your pac to hand when you sign up. You can't transfer your number at a later date.0
