I used to use Program tablets with a dog I had- at that time they were POM- not sure now. They don't kill the fleas but make them sterile so in the end the flea population is wiped out. No idea if you can use them with drops , you have to be so careful as the two might cause harm to your pet.
You could ask someone like Vet-Medic (they have a vet to answer questions in the daytime- free phone line) but I see they are out of stock. Still I imagine they will know the answer. Or ask your vet.
There is a current thread about flea treatments on this board- about Frontline etc, so suggest you have a trawl.

I wouldn't recommend anything by Bob Martin TBH.

Once you've got fleas, you need the Frontline Combo rather than basic Frontline. This will require a vet prescription, but you're better off getting this and ordering it online rather than the vet dispensing the medicine. Get a prescription for 6 pipettes which will last ~1yr.
  • Even if the spot-on you used is effective at killing the adult fleas it will not stop them from emerging from their pupae, most probably tucked away in your carpets and soft-furnishings depending on where the animal has been resting, scritch-scratching and shedding the eggs. The pupae can lie dormant for up to six months, I understand , so even with an effective treatment-plan you can still see adult fleas for some time.

Those tablet things will only kill the fleas actually on the animal at the time of treatment and will not help get to grips with an infestation in the home. If the dog has picked a couple of fleas while outside and you give the tablets before those fleas can breed, they might help. But it really doesn't take long for a few fleas to breed and then start laying hundreds of eggs.

I would recommend using one of the medications adouglasmhor has mentioned as well as an environmental spray like Acclaim, Skoosh, Indorex or the Johnson's 4 Fleas which contains an Insect Growth Regulator and will kill the eggs and larvae.
