Calls to the Canaries

How much would it cost me to call a mobile (Orange network) from a UK landline (BT). Every website says different things so I was wondering if any of you guys could help. Many Thanks.

The same as to call any UK mobile that is in UK. It costs the owner of UK mobile abroad to receive the calls.

Really? I don't think that there can be any controversy around this very simple fact.

If you want to find out the cheapest way to call a Orange Mobile from a BT Landline, look at the MSE UK Callchecker.

Do you mean a mobile from Orange UK or Orange Spain?

The UK one is the same price for you to call wherever it is.

International calls will be somewhere in the tariff details, or you can use the MSE Callchecker to find some alternatives which might work out cheaper.
  • Thank you this helps but it's a UK mobile so the MSE Callchecker only says 'Canary Island landline' and 'Canary Island mobile' so where exactly does a UK mobile land?

"UK mobile" lands to "UK callchecker" not "International".
I thought I made it clear in my post above.

If you call a UK mobile phone it doesn't matter where in the world it is - you get charged as if they are in the UK. The person overseas pays to receive your call.
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂
