Dying Battery - 10.8v or 11.1v

I got a 1 year warrantee. It is the correct part as reccomended by Acer and didnt come from ebay.0

There is no difference between 10.8 and 11.1.
The technology is Li-Ion. These have a nominal capacity of 3.6-3.7v, with a fully-charged voltage of 4.2v.
10.8v is simply 3*3.6; 11.1 is 3*3.7. It's just a different method of measuring the same thing.
Oh -- and these batteries are all made of standard 18650 cells. There is no real difference between the cheap and expensive ones except the quality of the cells -- and even the bad ones should last a year (the ones I've had always have).
The cells will not overcharge because the PC is monitoring the voltage, and even if they did, the worst that would happen is the cell would burst -- they won't blow up, the box the battery pack is in isn't strong enough to allow that.0
