Hi,
I have an acer 5336 laptop which is now (after 12 months and 2 days!) showing a failure. It won't keep a charge anymore.
When shopping I have found it difficult to find the 11.1v battery as is currently in my laptop. However I keep being told the 10.8v will be perfectly fine and compatible.
is this true?

Most of the compatible products which are half the price of the one you suggested are 10.8

I doubt whether a 3% difference in voltage will make any difference.0

10.8 or 11.1v won't make much difference. Some models could be sensitive to a 14.8v variant, so don't use one unless it's specified for your machine - some lappys will take 10, 11 or 14v batteries, some won't.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -

Do not buy the cheapest you can find, or in around 3 months time you'll be back asking why your 3 month old battery doesn't hold a charge any more. How do I add a signature?0 -
The one I have purchased wasnt the cheapest I could find. The very cheapest I found was actually £6 but I went for one at £14.990

Apart from the three year warranty not being worth a jot in real life....is that even the correct part?0
