Are Orange within their rights?

We had broadband with Orange which was pretty rubbish - every Sunday it would go off with no explanation and when we did a speed check when it was working it was shocking!
Called Orange as we were going to change providers and needed the MAC code - they then said the speed was so slow because we had changed routers (not sure if there is any truth in this) and they would put my partner through to someone to sort it and give us a new deal but he didn't bother as we had already decided to move. We took out a new deal with Talk Talk a couple of days ago.
The internet has been off since Sunday but there was also a problem with our line and BT came out yesterday to fit a new line so we thought the internet should be working but it wasn't. My partner called them and they said that another company had requested the MAC code and so they had cancelled our internet.
When we signed up with Talk Talk it said that we should have no downtime as we would get a connection right up to the changeover. Our expected go live date with talk talk is 19th September. Is this normal that we have been cut off so soon?

if bt put a new line in, did they put a cease through? You need to complain before going to Ofcom, they are not their to waste peeps timeDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
