Over on hpc.co.uk they are treating this news with cautious optimism. They are weary!

Do you guys really debate a 0.4% drop in an index? 0.4%?

Surely that sort of a fractional percentage is within the error tolerance of any statistical measure and so is effectively irrelevent as a metric figure?

    Hi RenovationMan,

    What's with the new name?

You didn't even think it necessary to change your writing style?

Too right! Do you really debate about whether people should be debating?

Are you really debating about whether I should be debating about what other people should be debating?

Graham's Gang used to be a TV show in the 1970s.

    Just so were clear....

Who exactly is in my gang?

And what does it stand for? I'm asking as it appears some of you know a lot more than myself!

Secondary point....do none of you feel the same as I just did saying "in my gang"? (His gang, before you smart-arris pedants get on the case). The feeling of being a complete and utter idiot for actually typing those words on a forum to reference a few people!?

The actual drop this month was £705 and £1726 over year not sure how much rent the average person would pay over the year.

The good news is that house prices only have to drop another 7.25% to get to long term average.

    Which long term average?
I thought they were already under the long term trend.

Trend and price ratio to earnings are two very different things.

Surely it cannot be RenovationMan ..... not with his views on posters creating new names.
Banned users returning with new usernames are a bit of a problem on this board

I know that if people are determinedly sad enough to keep creating usernames, there isnt much that can be done
