No matter how bad it seems it will get better. It is inspiring that you are finding solace in your children. Kids need time not money so they will be there for you no matter what. You have done well so far just keep it up.
It sounds really empty I know but really I hope things get better for you soon and the caseworker can help.
EMI think opinions should be judged of by their influences and effects, and if a man holds none that tend to make him less virtuous or more vicious, it may be concluded that he holds none that are dangerous; which I hope is the case with me.0 -
Hi:j
Also did not want to read and run, have you a spare room you could rent out. It would give you a tax free income, you don't have to supply food or anything like that and you could rent just from monday to friday as some people commute home at the weekends. This could work for you if, you live in a city, town or have a college or uni nearby.
Have you looked on the free stuff site, people donate hoover's, cookers etc and you don't have to pay anything. Keep thinking positively, as said by others above, they can't take what you have not got.Mortgage: Aug 12 £114,984.74 - Jun 14 £94000.00 = Total Payments £20984.74

Hi, I read lots of posts on here and just wanted to say what a great mum you are!! Speak to the nursery about fees, are you getting all the help from government you can for fees? Don't borrow anymore money, sell what you can like you are. Birthdays etc can wait there will be loads in the future, it's amazing what you can live without so don't worry about the TV & phone at least. Good luck with everything, your post made me really upset xReceived £2,626.00 in PPI -2013:j

Hi mushy pea :hello:
Since your ex lost his job, have you received anything from him? He is still supposed to pay you a small amount from his benefit, I think it's £5 per child per week but am sure someone will correct me if this has changed.
I know it's not much but in your current circumstances it could make a real difference if you could get this backdated so please check.LBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Hi mushy pea!
I was wondering if you had been in the same situation before, and felt the same despair, yet things had got better? Things will feel better again!
What's the worst that can happen? You and your children have decades of life ahead, you have so much time to enjoy life - temporary problems like this will be forgotten soon enough, I promise :j
You have your children, shelter and the internet. Gifts that keep on giving :rotfl::T
Chin up, do what needs to be done, and trust that you know you can sort it all out

A huge thank you to you all.
I can't express how good you have all made me feel, and i can see why people value the support from these boards.
I have taken all your suggestions and leads on board and researching everything.
I expect to receive some Healthy Start vouchers shortly (£3.10 a week), which is great, and the CSA confirmed the £5 a week, which is better than nothing i suppose. I know he is earning money on the side, but as for getting anymore from him, no chance.
In answer to some of your questions, I have thought about moving my toddler into my bedroom and renting her room out, but it is only a box room and with 2 daughters, i would just be worried all the time, so have discounted this.
From the chat with PayPlan last week, an IVA is out of the question as i couldn't pay enough back each month and it is too rigid for me. I have someone calling me from their mortgage people to discuss a remortgage, but i know this will be a waste of time as i am currently fixed in until 2017. I am oddly looking forward to my appointment Monday and getting everything sorted.
I am continuing to sell things on eBay, and making a few pounds here and there, which although is not a great deal, has allowed me to fill my car up and get around and pay for a little present for my daughter to take to her friend's party tomorrow.
I have sold my kitchen table though for £70 and bought a load of food with it. Bought flour and pastry cutters too, so the kids will enjoy messing about with those.
From now on, i will just concentrate on basic food in the house, my mortgage payments and the nursery fees. Everyone else can wait. Yes, i know it will be stressful and i will continue to have my breakdowns and shockingly low opinion of myself, but i think following this plan will at least allow me to sleep a little at night and get through the days.
I know it is so simple, but i am slowly coming round to the notion that i have read so many times on these boards - if i haven't got it, then i haven't got it!
I can't believe how positive i feel right now. I know it is temporary and more than likely by this evening, i will be back to usual, but i like it! Long live ignorant bliss!
Thanks again
x
