Hi,

I admit to being mobile naive. I have a nokia 6700 slide on vodafone sim only not due for renewal until January. I dropped it yesterday & cracked the screen. Whilst it still works I think I need to up my game a bit though I'm not interested in spending lots on the latest model. I've come across a reasonably priced unlocked lumia 610.

Will this take my old sim? If not will vodafone change my sim so that I can keep my number & if so will they charge me?

Thanks in advance.

    In a word, yes.
Make sure that either you have a reasonable data allowance or the mobile internet is switched off in the new handset.

Your old sim will need cutting down or replacing, the 610 takes micro sim cards.

Should do, I know two people who got theirs swapped for free last week at a Vodafone shop.

If they won't do it for free, any independent phone shop should be able to cut it down for you for a few quid.
  • I know nothing about this whether they do it for free or not but i think they don't do that for free.:(

    Hi Fruity1,

You would need to change over from a standard SIM to a Micro-SIM for the Lumia 610. We will be able to send one out to you free of charge.

If you want to arrange this, get in touch with me via the link here and include WRT135 FAO Heidi in the subject.
