Iphone 5 or Nokia Lumia 920
Hi guys, my contract 24 month contract (curse them!) is finally coming to an end this month - hurrah!!
Has anyone any pointers for what to get next..
I've put off getting an Iphone so far simply coz of the high contract prices but have had phone envy as I've had a Sony Ericsson Vivaz for the past 2 years and it's dated to say the least..
My friend works for 02 so can get me 1/3 off the line rental and so, I was thinking of opting for the new Iphone when it comes out but I've also seen the specs on the new Nokia Lumia 920 and wondered would this be better value for money as no doubt the tarriffs for the Iphone will be premium priced as previous years.

You need to work out how much minutes/data/texts you need, then you'll be better able work which one is better value.
You also need to decide which OS is best for your needs.0 -

As I understand it, prices have not yet been announced for either, so how can anyone answer your question at present??????
"Ah the lure of the shiny new phones strikes again"0 -
I realise this about the value for money bit - I guess I am more curious to see everyone's take on the specs and which they think they will be opting for when the time comes.0

Then why ask which is the best value for money?
At present, until the industry mag reviewers have had a chance to road test the phones, no one knows.
Patience!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
I can tell you this much, having owned all top end Windows Android and iOS, that the smart money is on Android, and the SGS3. I am sure the new iPhone will be spec similar, but slightly less, ie a 1GHZ quad core etc. But with a little Apple twist, like iTransfer (Bluetooth, but Apples version) etc.0

The reason Android need faster spec is because far too many 3rd party put their stuff on which slow down the phone and the updates are slow to receive.
The Android OS is full of malware, it is a god send for malware writers.
Only need to search in google for malware android

The Nokia 920 looks great and if all spec are fine I will buy one. All common apps are available and you can also link with the Xbox if you have one.0 -
So, WP8 will support Adobe Flash? WP 7.5 didn't, the main reason I'm going for Android.thegoodman wrote: »The Nokia 920 looks great and if all spec are fine I will buy one. All common apps are available and you can also link with the Xbox if you have one.0 -

The Adobe have already revealed plans to stop Flash development for mobile devices since November of last year, and shift its focus on HTML5.
Android users who own Google’s Nexus 7 tablet or intend to buy any of the Android 4.1 devices announced during the IFA in Berlin will have to stick with HTML5, as Adobe has no plans to offer Flash support for Jelly Bean and future Android OS versions.

Good luck with your flash player0 -
