I don't think it was an accurate description because you contradicted your self! First it was.....condition:new then in your desc you put ex-display model used for a few hours. So to me thats not new.
But on the other hand the bidder shouldn't have bid on it without contacting you first to ascertain whether it was one or the other.
And it really irks me that people will neg feedback then complain afterwards and expect you to to be happy to help them.Hubby recently had this happen.I don't know why people can't try to sort out probs before resorting to neg feedback.

am really sorry to say this but i think the description was v misleading and can understand why u got the neg (although i think the buyer should have given u a chance to resolve the issue first)

i had to read the description several times to find where u added the bit about having no manual or aerial

this is because u have listed this with the "positive features" of the item

personally if i was after a tv/video product and seen that it was "new" - i wouldnt bother reading all of the features and would therefore hav missed the bit about no manual

maybe his friend has one exactly the same, so he didnt need to know about the parental lock, auto head cleaner etc etc

i think u should have put the "negative" info in bold/diff colour at the top of the description

    sorry

I think the auction description was misleading and you deserved the neg.

Apart form the listing it as new, you claim you made it clear its condition with regard to the manual and missing box.
Look closer and you will find you have hidden these facts within the text of the specification details of the TV, not at the beginning, not at the end, but right smack bang in the middle of the boring rubbish that nobody reads.

This is the last place I would have expected to find the condition of the tv.

This reminds me of the Playstation 2 stunt awhile back, where an unfortunate bidder thought she was getting a PS2 for her kids at christmas.

When you read back over the huge text paragraph of the spec for the ps2, right in the middle was a sentence that said "you will be sent a link to get a ps2 for £50"

    nice try !!
    or incredibly stupid mistake !!
