    Thanks people.
I wondered if maybe part of the door would come off to allow a panel to be screwed on... optimistic as usual.
The alternative (to make the kitchen cheaper) may just be to get white units, then the appliances won't stick out...

Once you know what you want Shona, take a look at National Kitchens website. Their kitchens are great quality and they do the 900mm high wall units that you're looking for.

The kitchen is supplied with all rigid units and doors and drawers already fitted with soft close bits :)

We spent less than £4k on our massive kitchen and couldn't be happier.

    Good luck!

    Hi

We had a new fitted kitchen a couple of years ago. One thing I'd advise is consider buying your appliances seperately from the kitchen. There are a number of companies on the internet that do kitchen appliances and we found them alot cheaper. We used a company called buyers and sellers. The appliances are shipped direct from the manufacturers stock in this country.

Jamie Oliver recommends a solid wood worksurface as marble & granite scratch and can break things and laminate doesn't always like heat. We've got laminate at the moment but I intend to replace with wood in the future.
