Wetherspoons is on the front near the tower.
I dont know if there is a Slug and Lettuce in Blackpool but the food is alway half price on a Monday. Join up for their newsletter and you get a discount token for other days.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

I was disgusted with most of the places in Blackpool when I went recently. We found one nice chippy just back from the sea front at the side of B&M Bargins.

There are so many eating places in Blackpool, some excellent, some dire, it's difficult to make recommendations; however, choice does mean if you're uneasy about a place just carry on walking and you'll find another.
Some of the roads behind the prom in that area are a bit dodgy (prom itself is OK and as already mentioned there's a cinema/McD/Frankie and Benny's up Rigby Road), I'd be more inclined to walk south towards Waterloo Road or North to the town centre. Town centre has the usual McDonalds, Burger King, KFC, two Wetherspoons, Nandos, Pizza Hut etc and lots of cafes - just don't go in if a place doesn't look clean!
The Waterloo Road area has quite a few shops and eating places, including McDonalds, and if you're further south there's a nice chippy on Harrowside, behind the Solaris Centre.
I'd also recommend the food at the Pump & Truncheon, which is a real ale pub on Bonny Street opposite the hideous concrete tower block police station. The road itself is horrible in many ways (safe, just grotty!) but don't let that put you off; it's a good pub, all day breakfast for a fiver, huge mixed grill for £7.50.
Whatever you do, don't go to 'Mickey Finns' behind Coral Island!!Long-haul Supporters DFW 120

We went for a fish tea at the Bispham Kitchen on a friends recommendation and it was lovely , great cakes too.
It's a bit up the coast , you can get the tram up.
We also loved Notarianni on waterloo road for ice cream.0 -
I'd also recommend the Bispham Kitchen great food , good price and the desserts were enormous, we got the tram up to Bispham, ate then walked part way back looking at the the Bispham lights, then got the tram the rest of the way.#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

last time i went I was also disgusted and dint find anywhere worth eating.
Even the fresh donuts on the front wre disgusting and not fresh as they make them in advance and keep them in bagsn for hours/days:eek:
there is a donut stall in Gt yarmouth that makes them frsh for ever customer, Blackpool donut sellers take note!!0 -
We had fresh cooked donuts at Blackpool this week maybe as it wasn't so busy they could cook them fresh for every customer.. I agree most of the food outlets in Blackpool itself were dingy and grubby looking which is why we chose to eat elsewhere..#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j
