PAC code expiring before number porting date
Hi there,
I just started a new contract with Talkmobile, my phone and SIM arrive yesterday. They have my PAC code and said my number is due to be transfered on the 11th. However, my PAC code is 30 days old and therefore expires on the 8th. Talkmobile have told me that's fine as they have 'claimed' my PAC code and the number should transfer on the 11th without a problem. I'm doubtful and I was wondering if anybody on here could confirm that Talkmobile aren't talking rubbish.
Also, t-mobile, who I'm transferring my number from, told me that Talkmobile have to port my number within one working day (google seems to suggest the same), but Talkmobile insist they don't have to. Are they correct?
Thanks in advance.

However, it's the 5th today and Talkmobile's 11th does look outrageous.0 -
Hmmm... well that's very trusting of Ofcom just making these friendly suggestions to mobile phone companies and hoping they'll do the right thing. I just hope my number does actually transfer eventually as the transfer date is after my PAC code expires.
Cheers for the reply by the way.0
