I know what you mean, but as long as your Tesco has a Pharmacy they will be used to people asking about Goodie Bags.
You could always go to the Pharmacy and ask of they have any information about managing Diabetes for your Mum and Dad? If they have a Goodie bag under the Counter I'm sure they would hand you one with a smile, and you wouldn't have had to ask as such...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I got one from my local tesco aswell, but mine had no added sugar chocolates instead of the toffee. There are also 3 coupons in there, 30p off splenda, 20p off go lower and a coupon for a free pot of mullerlight!
I saw the boxes and politely asked if I could have a goody bag. The pharmacist (who happily gave me one last time I asked) was incredibly rude, and demanded to know why I wanted one, very loudly in front of other customers, then said they're for diabetics, and repeated this twice!
I was really embarrassed, and thought that it was very unneccessary for her to do it this way, plus she has no way of knowing whether I or a family member have diabetes! As is it happens I do have a friend who is poorly with it at the moment but didn't dare say and left without, but I did go back the next day and asked the young Saturday girl who gave me one quite happily!
It looks like they might be cracking down on this one (understandably) with it having the blood glucose scanner in, but there are ways of going about it! There's no way I'll be taking my prescriptions to her now.Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
