It's a lovely day and I have lots of writing to do - some of it by tonight - so I'm not going to be able to go out and enjoy it.
Someone has kindly given me 2 huge bags of apples. They are, she explained, all the fallers and bird-pecked ones but she thought I might be able to use them for the Drop-in. So that's tomorrow filled then.
Have no idea what we are eating today as the Rev's movements are pretty ad hoc today. But I am feeling peckish so am off to concoct a sandwich.
LW: so sorry about the shoulder, it must be miserable for you. As if you didn't have enough to cope with!
LOU: I can't believe you've only that short time to go. My DIL2B has another 3 and a half weeks to go, though she feels it might be early. She has an ultrasound this pm as last time the placenta wasn't in the right place and if it hasn't moved it might mean a C section. She also has something called EDP or something like that. It involves wearing a sort of support for her pelvis. I don't understand these things having adopted my own children.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Hi Everyonehaligjt Sistercas I hope so too but I wouldn't hold your breath. Sorry im feeling very cynical today. I've been reading the boards more lately and appear to be completely out of touch. I just can't believe how so many hard working people a re struggling desperately yet for many others buying an iPad for a six year old is totally normal and life is rosy.
I think those are the ones who have not had their light bulb moment and are up to their eyes in debt :eek:!
Been to B&Q to show our new neighbours (caravanning friends) where it was. We didn't buy anything, but they needed things towards sorting their new house out. Wrinkles day, so they saved10%. Had a couple of new pieces of double glazed glass in the conservatory where the seal had gone replaced (12 years old) but OK otherwise.
Had some Lemon Sole lightly dusted from Aldi for tea last night and it was really nice. Also bought a bag of their "special" chips, chunky but found they really dry, prefer the normal ones.
I have thawed some chicken breasts, but had a lot of chicken recently, so may cook them, but use them cold, and go back to Beans & Egg on Toast, boring but we like it.:o
Started knitting DH a Aran Jumper in wool like fisherman's wool, and just trying to understand the pattern, need to do a couple of repeats before it gets in my head.
LW - sorry to hear about your shoulder, I know where you are coming from as I am just hopefuly coming to the end of jarring mine last June. My Dr. said, it takes 18 months with treatment, or a year and a half without! and I think he may have it spot on.:o
Skye is improving daily, they way she did 20 laps of our back garden after we had taken her or a walk last night, you wouldn't have believed she was on anti-bifrollics, I think she thought she was on a GP circuit! Today a new larger travelling box has come for her, she had outgrown the old one, and she travels in the car and also sleeps in it. Wondered if we would have any problems persuading her to use the new one, but she has climbed straight in and gone off to sleep;)

Evening all
What a day, started before 7:30 & finished at 6, phew I'm worn out.
I dropped some wordgame books off to a friend who is giving up smoking, I hope they help.
I'm going to make a batch of chilli once I've finished online so hubby has something yummy for his lunch tomorrow & I'm making a couple of chicken fahitas(sp) in case he's hungry when I collect him at 10 tonight.
It's his b'day today & I did offer him his usual birthday present when I woke up this morning, he wasn't impressed when he realised it was only4:30!!
Have a good evening everyone.
Hugs Hester

well i went back to work today. i decided that i would never know if i could do it or not unless i try. it was fine. had a lady to help me but there was only 50 meals to cook today so that was just about half so it was very easy today. i managed fine and although its really aching now my arm is probably no worse than it was. it was the right thing for me
chicken curry for tea tonight and pizzas for the babies. managed to shove the dough on quick in the bm just in time for tea
hopefully it wont be so hot tonight as last night i could hardly sleep as it was so hot.
dd2 came for tea tonight so that was nice. she loves curry.
lasagne for tomorrow...ive got a hairy dieters lasagne base in the freezer so have pulled that out.
have a good evening everyone0 -

Hester - happy birthday to the Minder
Late one from me. I've had a lovely day. Work was basically lots of adminy stuff, but we had lots of laughs in the office. Then I met my new friend for spot of lunchand then after work me and my work colleague/schoolfriend went to the local pub overlooking the lake for a shandy and dinner. Then we came back to mine for a cuppa.
Severly lacking in OS today!

Hello everybody,
Am spending a lot of time finishing the crochet blanket I am giving to someone on Saturday....should get it done to-morrow I think.
Lovely day again to-day, we went out for lunch and it was delicious....think that OH would eat out all the time if encouraged to do so, but I prefer to eat at home most of the time, get fed up with restaurant meals....feel guilty about spending the money too as trying to put back the money we spent on our trip....like to have a good cushion if at all possible.
Remembered to book Mossy into the kennel for the weekend, he won't be happy going in but is ok once we have left.
Bought a new bathroom scales a while ago.....one of those ones that you have to tap to operate....weighed this morning at 10kg less than last week, so weighed again and was just a kilo lighter....have had whole family weigh themselves on it and nobody else has had a problem....not sure if its just that I can't see numbers properly but its annoying me!
Hugs to all in need or want of some, sleep well and stay safe

Evening everyone
Another late posting from me. DS2 very happy this morning he got picked up ok, but is going to be last picked up in taxi and 1st dropped off, makes his day over an hour shorter. DS1 went to college, he has been moved on to a level 2 course in electrical engineering due to his literacy and numeracy tests this means he does a year less. He has also been asked to work tonight at his part time job. Getting a bit annoyed with dh as he is picking at every little thing my eldest does wrong, seems he said he would support me with him, but now he is here he is changing his mind, as though he doesnt want him living with us. Don't know what to do/say to get him onside.
os today wm on and washing hung os was dry when I got in from work. dog walked(met all his doggie friends this morning) so he had a good run. dinner was cooked by dh, although his mess was cleaned up by me. Also done a bit more ironing and sorting through of paperwork.
Lou - I had SPD with my youngest, physio helped a bit. But it was extremley painful, couldnt walk anywhere, do stairs or even get in the bath. Thought it would go straight after I had him but it took several weeks after to be back to normal.
Flutterby - Glad you are enjoying time with your new friend.
Monogran - I have every sympathy for your dil2b with the SPD.
Hester - Happy Birthday to your dh, hope he had a nice day.
Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care0
