Looks like you've got the measure of it all, then. All i can say is good luck xx Yep, had the same experiences with hb and ctb. If you don't fit into a box, you're stuffed, and you do give up trying to claim what you know fine well, you are entitled to. On your own, and the stress is a killer. xx
Oh no, you too?
I nailed HB one year, I got fed up with the previous year's shenanigans so sent them 400 (literally!) pages of self employed accounts, with the addendum "all the information you requested last year is contained within these pages"
It's the only year I got no bother. Sadly it only worked for one year....

( Sorry................) :rotfl:
Probably because they couldn't make head nor tail of it all? and to read the 400 pages? Try this ploy again? :rotfl:Mind you, i've tried that, too. They nearly faint with shock, astonishment and wonderment. :rotfl:They will always tie you up with " their " speak, as they can't begin to understand " your " speak, so it's easier to just say NO?
Just say No, la la la, la la.Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

Brilliant! My buyer who was polite and nice and messaged me to enquire about why her item hand arrived, then agreed to wait for another 10 days, got a refund immediately done by me. She'd bought off me before with no problems either end so I doubt she was anything other than genuine.
The ebayer, however, who gave my item 4 days then went straight to PayPal demanding a refund without even contacting me first, who gave me no contact throughout the process just got her refund denied by PayPal because I scanned in post office proof of postage! Hahahahaha!:rotfl:

Beer last night was with a friend with debt worries, she's with cccs but her SOA is up here spout. They asked her about car expenses and she said "none" but when I quizzed her she admitted she'd had to shell out £600ast year. She has nothing aside for Christmas/birthdays etc even though she has 3 kids. I think I've finally persuaded her to let me take a look at her SOA and see if we get a more accurate one. I do keep trying to get her to come on these forums, but she hasn't yet, although I told her about he rent-a-room scheme last night and she asked how I know all of this stuff and I said "from reading MSE!"
There's hope, I think. I'd hate to see go under again when she has a proper DMP up and running.
I've been trying to persuade her as well not to up her payments when her ct bill arrears have been paid off in feb.
I think I'll be nagging to get her to post on here with a proper SOA, fingers crossed I can persuade her!

Crikey, I've managed to clear £600 off the overdraft in a month flat by budgeting and by shifting as much spending as possible onto my 0% cards! Some of this is cheating wildly - my Mum paid for my travel to go and visit her, so I took her cheque and put it in the overdraft but bought the tickets on the Credit card
Actually, no, that's not cheating, that's the whole flipping point of the exercise!
Right, this is quite a challenge, I wonder how much overdraft I can clear by sneaky spending and my budgeting in the next month. ......

I've got a £1500 overdraft with nationwide. Which means I can be shot of Barclays by the end of this month! :T

Phones tax credits to give them notice of change of bank account. I was duly informed that a one-off payment might be triggered which might result in an overpayment ... Hmmm. I know this. On the postive side, extra money into my current account right now is good as my finances as are complete shambles due to my imminent bank account transfer, so I could use a buffer, even if I do have to pay the bu***r back!

Me butting gin on the tax credits front again. I've changed a few times over the past 12 months and even though it triggers a one of payment my weekly payments have gone down (only a tiny amount nothing drastic) to make up for the "extra" payment and luckily I haven't been overpaid before x
Hope daughters better now? x0 -

Daughter is much better thank youShe's had a week off school, should be going back in Monday :j
And ta for the tip-off about Tax Credits, this whole one-off payment being triggered is frannkly ludicrous, whoever organised their payments system is obviously still working out of the dark ages, but I guess we have to live with the consequences. The bright side is that even with overpayments on the horizen, I could use an extra payment or two at the minute just to see me throught this bank account change-over mess.
To be honest, now I know changing bank accounts triggers one-off payments, I'm tempted to do this deliberately over summer so I get a quick influx of money when I'm not earning. I have a few bank accounts spare for to cycle through before I end up back where I started!
