Talk Talk or Plus Net??

Options
Looking to change internet provider and have narrowed it down to Talk Talk and Plus Net but not sure which one to go with??
Currently with Orange - unlimited downloads: £18 per month plus line rental with BT at £14.60 per month (£32.60 per month)

Due to the area I live in, we struggle to get the good deals.

Talk Talk - unlimited downloads
£3.25 per month (half price from £6.50 for 12 months)
£14.50 line rental
= £17.75 per month

Plus Net - 60GB downloads
£5.74 (half price from £11.49 for 12 months)
£12.99 line rental
= £18.73 per month
option to upgrade to plus net pro for extra £5 per month.

What would you guys recommend? Is one better than the other? also not sure what our monthly downloads are as we do download music (not a lot). We don't download films but my partner does play online games (xbox live) so could this take us over the 60GB? Always had unlimited before so it's never been an issue.

Don't forget to go through topcashback, TT £60.60 and PN £28.28 and with TalkTalk you can pay 12 months line rental upfront, so £9.50 a month. I am also considering leaving Orange so interested to see what you decide.

why not Sky? 6 months free offer for unlimited BB at the moment (normally £10 if you dont take Sky TV), £100 quidco (2 days left before this offer finishes), £14.50 phone line rental.

60Gb sounds like a lot but trust me, you reach around half that limit with your antivirus + windows updates every month!

30Gb for anti virus and windows updates! Check your anti-virus and router security that is way too high.

I know people who don't get close to a 10Gb cap and even with iplayer etc I rarely get to 30 of my 40Gb.

I almost suffered an incontinent moment when I read that!:)

My last months usage with PN, including various anti-virus, Windows, antispyware etc. updates, was just under 10Gb.
  • Talk Talk = Evil.

They are staffed by numpties who don't give a fudge about customer satisfaction.

My parents was going switch broadband services to Plusnet, but then BT decided to beat that deal, then Plus Net decided to beat that deal and then finally BT decided to beat THAT deal.

point of the post is that do not be afraid to set services upon one another for your custom.

Are you aware that most Broadband services allow unlimited download limits between 12pm and early money? Which is useful for large downloads, windows updates or mass quantity of HD resolution !!!!!!.
  • Just to confuse things even more, plusnet also offer a line rental service http://www.plus.net/addons/line-rental-saver/
  • Talktalk customer service is dreadful. I spent 11 hours over a fortnight trying to get my broadband working. I wouldn't touch them again with a bargepole.

I switched to plusnet. On the day it was due to start I called them and they switched it on without any trouble whilst I was online and it worked straight away.
I need to make a new list for 2014
think of something to put on it!:rotfl:
Try harder for 2014 as I never managed it in 2012 or 2013

Talk Talk are idiots, even the chief executives team lie after thier 3rd party liars.

www.samknows.com exchange search and tell us whats available to you.

Primus line rental is £7.99 a month and you can lump on any broadband provider thats avail at your exchange.
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)
