Thank you to everyone for responding.

I have edited my OP to a warning, as i have calmed down a bit now and dont need to vent any more.
I still think this is hungryhouse's error as i didn't have this problem using the same restaurant and just-eat. My purchase was with hungry house for an agreed amount of £12.xx therefore they should make sure that's all i paid. It is there responsibly to make sure the restaurant doesn't ask for money if i have already paid. But i appreciated the comments and advice and will keep it in mind.

Sorry but this is madness. The restaurant must have known it was an online order and if they didn't bother checking if it had been paid or not that is surely their fault? Plus it was your fault for paying anyway. HH would have passed on the info that this was paid for, this is automatic.

Things happen, this was your/the restaurant's error. Move on and don't blame a company who simply did exactly what they advertised.
